I just got Super Meat Boy on XBLA and literally just played that level (1-18). I thought I had trouble on the first Warp Zone, but then I got to this level and yeah, I'm starting to see what this game is all about... at least I actually got lucky and snuck down there on my 7th-8th try. Part of the fun of this game is trying over and over again and then seeing the hilarious replay cache, I think.

I never upgraded weapons in FFXIII unless I had enough junk to really crank their levels a lot at one time. It's probably the most efficient way in terms of using components. I would just paste 36 or so sturdy bones on there to max the multiplier and then dump as many of my high-tech components as I could in one go to get 10-20+ levels. The downside is you're not really staying on top of upgrading them, so you go long stretches with sub-par weapons. In the end, it's not very make-or-break so you can kind of play it out how you like.

Yeah, BioWare's treatment of save data is really pretty annoying. I know a lot of people who have run into trouble trying to backup save files for the PS3 Dragon Age Origins.

Doesn't FFXII International lack the awesome ability of FFX International to change the in-game text to English? What a brutal omission.

OK, Fallout 3 is totally awesome. I've just finished the Waters of Life quest in the main story and I've done most of the non-DLC sidequests. I'm level 22 with very good karma. Started off mostly using small guns, but now I've brought up my energy weapons to about the same level. I also have a sweet set of Enclave Hellfire Armor, but it got beat to hell by a Super Mutant Overlord so it's not in great shape. Going to hunt down some spare parts to repair it. My one frustration is that I haven't found very many terminals to hack.

Hmm, that's a pretty raw deal then. I don't think I ever tried to save mid-mission, but hopefully it's just during that opening tutorial / intro mission...

I think Borderlands autosaves when you choose the exit option rather than on-the-fly.
