Sorry to hear about your Gamecube Card - the same thing happened to my wife about a year ago. All of those hours in Crystal Chronicles, Twilight Princess, Paper Mario, and other games are lost forever. I'm helping her get her CC progress back, though.

Third-Party cards and the first-party 1019 card have serious issues on the Wii, so that's probably what happened to yours. If you're using a first-party 251 card, then I guess you just got unlucky.

Indeed, Metroid Prime is a masterpiece. I've beaten it a couple times on GC and now it's time to experience the Wii version. The controls really improve the game, I think. One of the extreme few cases where the Wii motion controls were actually done right.

Nice theme! Hope you can beat MP2 soon. Like I told the other guy, I have 2 memory cards and backup my save file to the second card every so often to prevent stuff like that from happening.

Sucks about your Wii... You try buying the Wii lens cleaning kit? That will probably help. And if it doesn't work, I think Nintendo said they will give a refund when you send it in.

Today marks the day of a terrible event. On Wednesday, June 27, 2012, my Nintendo Wii became officially dead. It won't read any of my disks and I did everything I could to fix it. It was only 4 years old. RIP.

...Well, i'll finish playing Chrono Trigger on it, but after that i'm gonna try to send it to Nintendo to get it fixed.
