I browsed the list and ended up with the Lizardmen. They seem to offer a good mix of attack power and nimble runners and they manage to break Elves...

Yes, it did. I had said he was aggressive, but it was really me that was too aggressive. Staying back, using the tiles to keep him lined up, and being cautious was key. First try (of the day).

Let me know what you think of Castlevania III once you finish it. I love the heck out of that game. Grant is the best character for a first play through.

Training Wheels ups your Defense and HP at the cost of Magic and Attack, I believe. Try out Balanced if you have it leveled high enough. Also... yeah, Player 2 would definitely make that more challenging.

Stage 10? It's not that difficult, the final boss fight's pretty easy, and there's a bunch of hidden lives to the left of the final area (Although I missed that when I went through it, read up about it after). What mixtapes are you using, and how leveled up are they? I had Balance at 15 and I used Healing Touch against Skullmageddon.
