The first run of Super Metroid is always the longest. The first time through is all about exploring the world, peeking into each nook and cranny, learning what areas connect to what areas. It'll probably take a while, but you'll eventually find secrets and hidden paths as you make it through the game. It's not until the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or so time in that you really get into that race against time, where you try and run through the secrets you've found as quick as you can. The game has a completely different style of play on replays, which is why I love it so much.

June 24th is my last GCSE Exam, then almost three months of Summer till college. As well as enjoying this with friends, obviously I'll be trying to take down all my stubborn "C" games, probably using the most helpful fortune cookie option.

Going by what a couple other people said when I asked that, I decided to mark it beat when I hit the 200 line point in Marathon Mode, and thus unlock Endless Mode.

Yes, playing MGS and the original Metal Gear for the MSX. I'm also playing a marvelous old game called 'Covert Action' which is a more realistic approach to spy games.

After I'm done with them I'll play MGS:2 in the PS2 and Metal Gear II for the MSX, and probably the NES versions as well. Lots of games to be beaten; that's why it's a marathon
