I haven't seen you update for awhile. Hope things are going well for you, and that whatever you're doing is fun!

Anyway, I wanted to let you know a couple of things about my Idea Factory adventures. I ended up quitting Spectral Souls and intend to take it back to the game store. It had some good points, but I wasn't up for dozens of hours of grind... although if it weren't for the loading times, I might have toughed it out. You could say the game was a victim of circumstance. If I was back in my unemployed days, I might have finished it and even gone on to the post-game.

An online buddy told me that he played through the first Generation of Chaos several times, and didn't get anywhere with the second one, even though he had enjoyed the first one so much. So maybe you got the better deal getting the first one by mistake.

On his recommendation, I decided to get Generation of Chaos and it arrived today. It'll be awhile 'til I play it, since I decided to play Dragon Quest IV as my portable game, but I'll give it a test run soon and let you know what I think.

Yeah I'm going to put it on YouTube, so don't worry, I'll remember to share it with you. My problem is that I'm veeeeeeery slow, because I spend a few hours on it every now and then, and I'm a really meticolous guy, so I keep redoing everything until it seems perfect to me (you can see it in my first AMV here [Link] ).

I don't know if it hurts my laser, but I bought that PS2 for a very low price and I didn't used it a lot...but I should really complete a few games I bought.

BG = Baldur's Gate? You like it? I bought it for 5ā‚¬ but now I regret it, because I probably never play it...I do not enjoy its genre so much, and after playing Torment I higly doubt that I could enjoy it...

I AM female. Sorry for the misunderstanding! Now I wonder what I said to make you think I was male? Stupid internet! And stupid me for talking around things too much. Anyway, my interest in Hakuoki is for very straightforward girly reasons

The main reason for my lack of knowledge of the otome games is that I don't play games on the PC, so fan translations entirely pass me by, and I don't know much Japanese.

I saw in your comment that you're interested in Class of Heroes. I sent a long e-mail review to my brothers about it after I finished it. If you're interested, I can copy the text and send it to you in a PM.

Both Spectral Souls and the first GoC game have some technical problems, mainly constantly loading off of disc. In Spectral Souls (Now Playing!), it was maddening at first and in the meantime I've gotten used to it, but that doesn't mean it's okay. I hope their later PSP games are better about this.

Although I have a decent number of Idea Factory games (six or seven?) I don't have either of the GoCs. Tempting, but I've decided I'm going to finish one of their games before I buy another. Maybe I'll just skip to the second one, like you wanted to.

Edit: my brothers all played Persona 3 and loved it (I haven't yet). I'm sure it was a good choice! My understanding is that P1 feels very old, even in remake form.

Man, I just bought two games for the PSP (which I don't own yet) that I don't really want (I'm buying it in Sept. though). I thought the first game was its sequel (AE: Generation of Chaos, not GoC) and the second...maybe the "Collector's Edition" part and the fact that it's unavailable in my country that got me. Well, I'll see. I can always sell both and since I paid for them 30 GBP it was actually a very good deal! Oh summer online deals.
(how could I mistake GoC for AE:GoC?! It's probably the PSP Essentials tag that did it...)

Now when I get back from holidays, I want to buy Resistance: Retribution, Midnight DUB: L.A., Dissidia (the first one, the second one comes later) and Trails in the Sky (I'll first see what PAL CE version offers, if it doesn't have a wallscroll I'll buy the USA one). Those will be the ones that I really want to play. Oh, and Hexyz Force and Class of Heroes, I'd love those! Fortunately the latter is still on Amazon, but I don't want to pay 20% tax! And when I'm at it, I can try to find Ys Seven CE on Ebay and get the normal Ys: Oath in Felgana edition off Amzon.
Of course, I'll have to buy only several games each month. And shouldn't I go and rather buy books instead of games?!

He's from Apollo Justice, so that seems likely. Yeah, there are lots of neat little details about the picture. Edgeworth freaking out because Franziska is about to spill red wine on his suit is great too. :p

I don't like Dark Dawn as much as the first two either. As you say, most things feel like a step back, but it still has that sweet Golden Sun charm. I was actually pretty impressed with the visuals, though. The DS has some of the ugliest 3D graphics in general, so with that considered I think DD did a good job. The summons especially look sweet. Wait until you see Catastrophe; it'll blow you away. Another thing I like about DD is the encounter rate. The encounters are infrequent enough that I actually feel like exploring because you don't get in a fight every 3 steps like some other games. There are a few other things I'd like to say about it, but those are better left for when you've beaten the game, I think.

Sounds good then! Definitely look forward to when you play it. Oh, sounds like a pretty fun way to spice up FFV for veterans, but I've never played the game so it's not really for me. Besides, at this point I'm waiting for SE to do a remake of the game before playing it.

Also, nice banner.
