Cheers! Yeah, the friends I game with from time to time were a little tired of ARK so we all ended up getting MHW. I didn't know what to expect at first because I didn't care for MH3 when I got it on my Wii a decade ago, but I'm actually liking it. It's definitely more accessible and the weapon types are fun to use. Hopefully they do allow crossplatform play at some point. It'll be great to share some stories! Of course now I'm really, really amateurish and I've died twice due to recklessness with the dual blades.

So my opinion is based off me beating the first two Neptunia games and fully clearing 4GO.

They're great 'turn brain off and grind away at stuff' games. If I didn't have a massive backlog but I had a long day at work and just wanted to grind away at something somewhat mindless, the Neptunia games would be great for that. I do like the combat and having a vast selection of characters with somewhat unique playstyles and skills is great, too.

The story depends. I don't care much for sexual innuendos or fanservice or the main protagonist's quirky nature. In fact at times I find it a little cringeworthy. That said, I know the series is generally not one to be taken seriously, and as such I can appreciate the times I genuinely laugh at some of the shots at gaming culture among other things. There are a few rather memorable characters (and of course some forgetful ones).

Actually, I don't think forces is THE worst. My issues with it lie similar to Lost World in terms of the sloppy controls, and I don't feel like there's a lot of speedy stages. The mission mode and such is so much better than LW. But yeah, having Mania on the side definitely helps! I may pick up the Encore mode DLC during the sale, too.

It's actually not from a video game. It's an army reserve components achievement medal. I thought it was a nice design, and moreso considering my great grandfather was in the army way back when.
