Minish Cap! Fun Zelda. Although, it's not perfect, I can't recall what flaws make it inferior to ALTTP. Sounds like you're enjoying it.

Whenever I see screens of Minish Cap or even just read its name I'm tempted to get the game myself. How are you liking it so far, if you don't mind me asking?

Also, I just noticed that you went back to Etrian Odyssey to tackle the 6th stratum. Props for that.
I could never jump back into a game after such a long time. If I'm ever going to try my hand at it I will have to restart all over. Best of luck at tackling the deepest depths (or was it highest heights?) of the dungeon.

Patience is key when you wanna get way too many games as i do, but you're not rich, like not at all, as i am, but hey, if you want a thing, you have the cash for it, makes sense to me to just get it. (not gonna shame you for it or anything stupid like that, i want too much stuff and here is my collection, way too big XD)

Patience and memory, since Nintendo (or everybody, as of now) makes ports or "complete edition" way quicker than before, so it's best to way to get all the DLC stuff bundled, or just do the price deflagration do it's thing. Actually, it doesn't matter too much with Nintendo, since they still have this tendency to keep their stuff at premium price, like i haven't seen FE Awakening get a serious price drop even on used copies.

About FE Fates, i hold off on that since i heard this rumor of Nintendo doing a "complete edition" with all chapters/stories for a Switch re-release, and i was kinda disappointed to not see it in the Fire Emblem Direct, but ..... who knows.

I'm glad they are making Fire Emblem (all of a sudden, frankly) a front-runner series, seems odd, but i'm glad we're getting Echoes and FE Heroes for smarthphone is great, is a "gacha" but damn it's a great translation of the FE gameplay to ios/Android, solid, solid stuff. Of course i'm excited about Fire Emblem Warriors.

Like you, i'm more interested now, but i'm not gonna rush to buy any of them, not that is gonna make the GBA ones any cheaper to find used, even as cartridge only, especially the first one to be released here in the west. same for the DS remake of Shadow Dragon.

Yeah, Shiren is indeed intimidating (losing jar of useful and ultrarare item you worked hard to get and keep for future use can be really frustrating), sorry about that, but never say never!

Yeah, too bad i'll be forced to do another "shopping adventure" since i recently came back to the Gamestop closer to me, and they all of a sudden removed all PS2 titles, was hoping to get like 2 or 3 on-rail shooter for 5 bucks or something, didn't expect that, guess they moved them to another Gamestop (would be a waste to just get rid of them, they thrive on used games, pretty much). Maybe i should do it sooner than expected, given how Gamestop as a business is dying, and i'm gonna cry over it, at all, frankly, since they are a really scummy company (way before the Kotaku decided to do an article about their "circle of life" system, which always existed in some form, old news).

If you feel up to it, I hope you'll be able to give Resident Evil 3 what's coming to it. Crashes would sap my patience very quickly. On the topic of patience, I've finally had to put Xenoblade aside for now when I started realizing I'm not enjoying it, but basically forcing myself to keep at it (and even with that going very slowly). Lest I forget *why* I'm a gamer, I had to park it for now and play something I am actually having fun with. Enter Dragon Quest VII!

Spirit of Justice's DLC is one additional case and the two much shorter and humorous "Asinine Attorney" skits which take like half an hour each. So it was mostly that bonus case that took me two more days. All in all I set a pretty good pace on this game, clearing its 50 hours within the month - that's how I game if I *am* having a good time, I guess!

I was I think 6-7 hours into Mass Effect 2. Nothing that can't be redone, once I have the PC set up again. Its new video card is inside (took far too long to actually have it delivered but no matter, it's done). Did that with a co-worker's help at the office and took the PC home, but forgot its power cord, which is still at the company. And so the PC is still useless until I pick it up - and that's hindered by being home sick as a flu-like virus finally took hold of me. They usually fail. Not this one. :P

Happy backloggiversary also!

I also enjoyed Awakening more than FEif. The next FE is a remake of FE Gaiden. It's a average RPG game and when you have to fight an enemy, it becomes a map like the FE games. The Ambassador FE is the one you mentioned. It was my first FE game. It's easier compared to the other GBA games.
I haven't played Gravity Rush 2 that much, I can't play a game for 1+ hour without getting very tired of it but it's really good. It looks like this time they gave a good budget for the team. It hasn't sold that much in the west tho. Appart from GR2, I don't see games to my interest. Maybe the new Nier but I don't like what the series have become. I think a lot of people are now interested in Nier and Drakengard 3 because of the fanservice and I didn't liked Drakengard 3 so I'm going to wait for the reviews or the price drop.

Skyrim is a massive accomplishment to be able to play on the go! Yes, the Nintendo Switch is a handheld that you can plug into your TV(Although you don't ever have to use a TV if you don't don't want to!) The good thing about the Switch version of Disgaea 5 is that all the DLC will be included on the card, thus giving the game that title of Disgaea 5 Complete.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is easily the most ambitious title in this legendary franchise. It looks stunning in all the trailers so far. From what I gather the goal was to have one massive open world and be able to select dungeons at whatever order the player wanted. I would comfortably draw numerous comparisons between this and Skyrim.

I Am Setsuna looks to be a great day one launch title on the Switch! A very unique RPG for sure, the Switch looks to be already building up promising RPGs with the likes of Disgaea 5, Project Otcopath Traveler, untitled SMT game, untitled Fire Emblem game, Dragon Quest X/ XI, Skyrim, untitled Tales of game and of course Xenoblade Chronicles 2!

Super Mario Odyssey is a 3D platformer, the reason so many people are excited that the overall feel and appearance of this game reminds many people of Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. I think it looks cool enough, even though I'm not that big of a Mario fan :D

The 3DS is going to stick around for a while yet due to 2016 having better 3DS sales then either 2014 or 2015. Pokemon Sun/Moon definitely played a major part in that for sure. I would gamble that there will be a price sometime this year to help drive sales even further. Perhaps this will help bring EO V to the west!

The recent Fire Emblem announcements have been tremendous! Fire Emblem Warriors for Nintendo Switch/New Nintendo 3DS is a action game fusing the characters of Fire Emblem with the gameplay of Dynasty/Samurai Warriors. If you've played Hyrule Warriors then expect more of the same

The Nintendo Switch actually launches very soon, like in three weeks soon :P On March 3rd, the system launches globally with a light launch line-up. The end of 2017 should see roughly close to 60 Switch games and apparently many more in development.

Yeah it's a real shame because I was decently far into it and I was even making some progress, but that just killed any motivation I still had for it. Ah well, you win some, you lose some, no sense in getting down about a video game.

Hey! The last game I've played in the Gauntlet series is Dark Legacy as well. I haven't gotten around to playing the Steam version, but I always enjoyed playing the NES port of the original game.

I have made a huge slash in my backlog. I have traded or sold a lot of my games and I still have about 100 or more on the block to being sold as well. I have come to realize that I was just buying too many games and I needed to change on that aspect.

If you scroll through my list, it really is the list of games I really want to play or replay. It's that simple.

Thank you and yeah I guess knocking on wood won't hurt. Haha I certainly wouldn't want to jinx this. I have little interest in prolonging or repeating the last months.

The backlog looks pretty well at least so far. I actually added two more games to my beat/complete list, which makes for quite a successful start into the year. I'm aware I won't be able to keep up with this pace, especially since I also plan to play some RPGs, but it sure is a nice basis.

I see you've beaten your second game of the year by now as well. Congrats on that. Even though it apparently was far from a great experience. Congrats on beating Diablo III as well. You are right that it mostly requires diligence, but it still took me about five months to finish the game when I played it. Heh.

As for your lookout. I hope the glass ends up being half full in the end. Though it would be even better of course, if it goes beyond that. So here is to hopefully well filled glasses for both of us this year.

Skimming a Gold Skulltula list, it looks like story mode on Hyrule Warriors Legends is 18 levels long for the main story, Linkle has 4 or 5, another 5 for Cia's story, and 4 for Wind Waker. I've got 3 Wind Waker levels left to go through, which unlock Tetra and the King of Red Lions. It's interesting how they've redone the Adventure mode maps now to have more of a standard progression since all the old maps are in the game instead of DLC. Now the first Adventure map gives out all of the level 1 weapons, and level 2 weapons don't start until the Great Sea map after that. That means they had to cut the difficulty of a lot of the levels either by making the enemies easier or allowing multiple characters. It's kind of nice. I already beat the boss of the first map to unlock Great Sea, but the first square on it requires Tetra. Adventure Mode uses different objectives, so it helps a bit with the repetitiveness of the gameplay. It's a great game to zone out with though.

The announcement of Fire Emblem Gaiden coming over in May has spurred me back into Conquest. I'd originally been planning to buy the middle route, but a friend told me Conquest is much more fun. I still have most of Awakening to go through too.

Diablo III is a bit of a sore spot for me. I've been stalling on playing it with a friend for years after he bought it for us both, and I never end up feeling like playing it. It's something I'd really like to finish at some point. I enjoy playing as the ridiculously stereotypical witch doctor with my endless hordes of undead. The upcoming necromancer class would be neat if I thought I'd play enough to use it, haha.

Etrian Untold was certainly an ordeal. I kept falling out of it. It wasn't bad, but the story party and lowered difficulty just didn't hook me. I'd actually forgotten just how much easier it was than the rest of the series until I went back to Persona Q last night and got my ass kicked a few times in its 1st stratum.

Congratulations on the promotion at work! I guess you've gone salaried or at least earn decent vacation time now? It's pretty nice having that. It feels weird going to that after doing hourly for years.

Diablo gobbles up the time, doesn't it I was working on the new season a bit, but my PC gaming has been halted by the death of my video card. I've ordered a new one, still awaiting shipping. I did run a Windows recovery while still figuring out why the computer would no longer start up and that has wiped out my Mass Effect save, but what can you do. For now, Xenoblade on the 3DS is my only "now playing". It's still not going very fast despite that. :P
