Wow, your Backloggery is a love letter to the Atelier series haha! I enjoyed browsing your mini reviews a lot, so I hope you don't mind me adding you to my multitap. I feel like they'd be a nice source to revisit when I consider buying or finally starting some oooold (point-and-click adventure) games especially on Steam. I feel like I've seen the names Syberia and Dreamfall around since I started gaming, and to this day I haven't given them a go.

Oh I’ve noticed that A LOT of people are now playing Atelier for the Switch, it makes a lot of sense as personally I find it way more accessible. I’m definitely going to be buying (and getting reacquainted) all the Atelier games on the Switch. I nabbed the Dusk Trilogy (personal favourite ♡) and at some point I’m going to get Arland. I’m starting with Lulua on the Switch as honestly the lack of time limits was super appealing for me to get back into it.

I really wish I’d picked up a physical Switch copy of Atelier Ryza for the Switch because it’s impossible to find now( ꒪⌓꒪) I’ve heard such good things about it.

Right. Yes, I suppose "enjoying" would indeed be more fitting. And yeah it's a shame that they set a very clear course towards quantity over quality. I guess for now we can only remain hopeful that it's going to change some day.

And thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on "My Time at Portia". It actually came up for me because I saw it up for sale right now at about half-price, which is still 20 mind you but it made me wonder. Personally I really enjoy "Stardew Valley" and the "Harvest Moon" games I played, so it got me a bit intrigued yet sceptical, so I appreciate the information you gave me there.

It's a nice surprise to read that you seem to be enjoying that "Atelier" game so far.
I remember back when "Atelier" games rarely even made it here and we talked about them and how happy I was to finally see some more release outside of japan. Then they started just churning them out with the foreseeable loss of quality and charm. At least to me. So yeah here's hope that things turn upwards again eventually.

Oh, also. I think you played "My Time at Portia" a while ago. Would you recommend it, if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah I totally agree I’m enjoying Atelier Firis a lot so far I love being able to just run around the vast world and the initial time limit doesn’t feel too constraining so I can just have fun exploring.

Ah okay. Good to know, I just wanted to unlock my better weapons already. I'm fighting that Fungo King lol and while I get some good combos in, it only takes me to 12 or so before he comes out of it. But grinding in there for a bit helps. I'm not grinding for levels, just the previous weapons that I needed to learn from.

Awesome, thanks for the tip on Blac Helm, I needed something! I also need to figure out how to combo really well to grind for SP. My problem was the stun doesn't last long and the health of that stunned character usually good for only two or three hits. Any pointers? Appreciate you for taking the time for me!

LMAO I just did that last night but also with Wondergrow. I managed to get my cure jar to do Range (L), Extract Cost Less (XL), Heal Up (XL) and Ver Range (S) while I boost them up in quality using those mushrooms. My HuffinWater is boosted too, so a lot of enemies is gonna go SLEEP.

I then boosted a lot of other items using the cure jar. Its a NIFTY system. I can't wait to apply that shit to armor.
