Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
Have you played Resident Evil 1 on Play Station or the GameCube Remake? Trust me, completely different games! Some years ago I tried to beat all Resident Evil games to date, but of course I got sidetracked. Still, I managed to beat the original Resident Evil Director's Cut Edition, Resident Evil 2, 3, and Code Veronica X! I have to say... Resident Evil 2 is the better of this selection.

I agree with you, the city streets are great, but the atmosphere in the sewers is just as oppressing as it should be, in hind sight. Resident Evil 2 has great pacing, in my opinion. Do you plan to go for it with both Leon and Claire? Or did you already? I just see that Leon's route has been cleared. I definitely recommend doing both stories, they are quite well intertwined!

I have not played Resident Evil 4 yet. As I told you above, I sorta got side tracked while playing through all the games in chronological order. I replayed Resident Evil Rebirth with Jill, but also want to go through it with Chris before moving on to Resident Evil Zero and then go for RE4. But I am already playing too many games right now, so... I am afraid it will have to wait!

Oh, Resident Evil 2! First time? Enjoying it? =)

I remember the sewers, it was the first part in the game where I was like "Hmmm.. so somehow I expect this place to be even less safe than the streets that are filled with crawling zombies." And, well... enjoy them!

Congrats on grad school! What are you studying?

DKC 1 was one of my favorite games growing up, and I think the trilogy just holds up so well. I've never beaten DK64. I remember it being a bit of a slog for me, but hopefully you'll fare better.

No worries! I hope you had a good time Blimey, very busy! Aw that’s a shame, been in the same boat

Ah nice! I’ve always heard that BoF 5 was the odd one of the lot that not a lot of people liked as much as the others. I’ll have to see for myself though! I get old games on eBay, I’ve already got them all - I’ve completed 1 + 2, have played a bit of 3 + 4. I always struggle to get into 3. I didn’t know the 3DS has been discontinued I’ll have to take a look, thanks!

Great, I’m looking forward to it!! I’m looking forward to playing older games, particularly RPG’s. I’m enjoying my Resident Evil at the moment Might play some point and click games at some point too, I enjoy those but seem to have left them in the dust!

Ah I see, I like the idea of playing as 3 separate protagonists Yeah I’ll have to play through them, I’ll keep in mind about 4. Have you played the Breath of Fire games? I really enjoyed 1 and 2 but I’ve yet to play the rest.

That’s a good description! I agree, I felt it was a lot of just walking to places, fighting, walking again. It just felt like you were just going down a corridor sometimes. Ah FF6 is a game I’ve played multiple times but never finished! I have enjoyed what I’ve played though. I thought so too, I did miss the part in the shinra building with the blood trails, I feel like they should have done that instead of the ooze. In the original it was really creepy. I agree, Sephiroth was a mystery and you didn’t hear or see much of him until after Midgar. He’s not as mysterious or intimidating as he was. I just hope they don’t muddle too much with the timeline. Same, I still enjoyed the game very much. I’m looking forward to the next parts!

Nice to meet you too, I’m Hannah Thank you, I like yours too! Yes I should, I’ve heard it’s really good. I have all the mainstream Suikoden games but not completed any, I’ve heard II is one of the best in the series.

I really enjoyed FFVIIR, don’t think it could beat the original but it came close (FFVII is one of my favourite games of all time), I wasn’t that fond of the missions as I just wanted to carry on with the story. Least you got a choice I suppose sometimes. Small issues like missing the Wall Market theme. I was a little concerned and curious about the ending, just hope they don’t take the game in a completely different direction. What did you think to it?
