And my first, to boot! I'd always written them off as Grand Theft Auto clones, but they're really more like God of War with a splash of Rogue Galaxy, and I can definitely get behind that! There's a lot of content, but it's not so damn impossible to enjoy it all, because they're smart about how much there is, and it's always fun beating up pedophiles and other assorted assholes until that trash can lid becomes a permanent part of their anatomy. I'm a little overwhelmed, but I'm having a really good time with it.

I work for a non profit organization, who get their money from the government. They don't have enough in their budget next fiscal year (starting November) to keep paying me. I don't think the shut down is directly responsible, but I know it didn't help. And everyone else is on edge because they all might be out of work starting November 1st, the shut down has made communication really difficult so they don't know when or if they're getting their money. It's fucked because I work for Head start, which is just school for little kids before school officially starts, it's a really great program, but of course that's first to go. :/ Fucking America man.

I'm losing my job over it. Yay for working at a nonprofit government agency! :D

But seriously it doesn't seem like it's affected too much yet, but the whole scenario is really pissing me off and just further proving we need some serious work done when the whole government shuts down because a small group of people decide to act like children. My first reaction would be "are you guys serious? Okay, good luck finding new jobs because you're very obviously not interested in the well being of your country.."

It's really a misnomer; a few government organizations have shut down, but it's stuff like natural parks. It hasn't affected me at all, honestly, but I do think it's shitty that the politicians are still getting paid.
