Yeah, if there were enemies I'd probably be forced to ditch this game during the opening chapter -sissy- ;__; I actually started it not having a slightest clue what is the gameplay like and I was sure something WILL jump at me just around the corner, given the atmosphere. AND IN A WAY IT HAPPENED, remember the dagger which suddenly goes all ASD;DSAGJ at you at the very beginning? When Leanne is still an innocent gal just strollin' around? I think it's a scripted event; my point is, it's SUDDEN AND LOUD AND I HAD HEADPHONES ON. And if something like that happened with a monster instead of an inanimate object, well uh. I'm still paranoid after playing Silent Hill while being like 9 years old and I don't need another cause of nightmares, thank you.

There is this weird thing with horror/suspense games, like... You're scared like hell but something just.. draws you in? Do you get that too?

And yes yes, I was talking about the very scene you mentioned, haha. It's pretty sad how they're implying poor Leanne will probably be like her mother (whose teaching methods were UH WELP), but what's even worse is that 'thud' sound. But yeah, maybe she just collapsed and the fandom is overreacting. Can't blame them, the game does have a depressing overtone.

DON'T EVER MENTION THE HANGING CORPSE FFFFF BRB SCARRED FOR LIFE

But really, Dear Emile at least had it's lighter moments, like the flowers or I dunno, GOING OUTSIDE, and Dear Martel was just. Oh look, dead people. Let's go collect more keys with human body parts ಠ_ಠ

Also, I see you've played Hatoful Boyfriend. It's been sitting on my hard drive for a while but I-I don't think I'm mentally strong enough to handle it 8'D I've heard enough stuff about the fat doctor bird... Although his human form (and the fanart of it!) looks so good ;__;

Such an underrated game, and I kind of agree that the backtracking was sometimes a little too much (cause if you're an idiot like me you usually backtrack A LOT), but yeah, DAT STORY. I loved how they were giving it to the player in small bits, so you actually had to think and put the pieces together. My pet peeve with the newer games is exactly that - you just sit and watch and munch on a sandwich or something. Everything is given to you on a silver platter and ehhhhhhh, I don't like that. Theresia omitted that mistake AND was basically a delicious mindscrew and an emotional rollercoaster in one. HOW COME MORE PEOPLE DON'T PLAY IT DGSAHJD;FDS

Anyway, what are your thoughts on the ending? Because I don't really buy the "Leanne went poof because of reasons derp" theory and personally I don't really know what to think.
