Really enjoying this, memorable cast with a surprising amount of humor and an interesting setting.

Thanks! Although there's so much content in the "post game" I could hardly call it beat yet. DQXI just might be my fav rpg ever.

Confused: Playing 10+ games at once
Hey, thanks! And yeah, I'm a big fan of the Tales series, but I never managed to play the original version of Vesperia all the way through (got distracted about 10 hours in back on the 360). I'm really enjoying it so far this time through, looking forward to playing the rest of it!

Aw man, I don't think he has it ported to iPhone yet. But sure! It's just called "Persona 5 IM" and it's made by [Link]

Hey, I wanted to pop by and tell you that if you have an Android phone, there's a really sick Persona 5 text message app that you may enjoy. I saw your icon and thought you might want to know about it!

I mean VC4, but yeah, I tried to give VR a chance, I really did, but it was r o u g h. VC4 was a very welcome return to what we knew and loved in VC1.

Thank you! I was very surprised to see that it went back to the battle system I loved so much before. When I bought Valkyria Revolution, I was incredibly disappointed to find that it was just not the same, and it made me very sad. So this is a pleasant surprise. Have you played as well?

Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
So, I just installed the BotW DLC to see what it would actually do (I’m already well past the point where I could beat the game if I wanted to, so I figured there would be no harm in it), and it’s pretty clear that they were taking concerns like yours and mine into account. All of the new treasure chests from the DLC have a giant “EX” on top of them (presumably for “expansion”), a group of new quests that were suddenly added to my quest log all have names that start with “EX:”, and the new gossip journals throughout the game (i.e. BotW’s version of Gossip Stones) are all labeled with “EX” as well, making them all really easy to avoid. So far as I’ve seen, nothing new has actually been forced on me yet, aside from the fact that the new mode that lets you see on the map where you’ve been isn’t actually marked as new.

I wish I could give you a solid answer about the BotW DLC, but I'm afraid I don't yet have the DLC myself, so I'm working from a bit of ignorance here.

From what I can gather, however, I think that you'll probably be fine to pick up the DLC from the get-go while experiencing the original game balance, though there are a handful of exceptions/things to be aware of.

For example, the first DLC adds the Trial of the Sword to permanently power up the Master Sword, but it's entirely optional and it's unlikely you'd be able to tackle it until near the end of the game anyway. There are also a number of callbacks to previous Zelda games (e.g. Majora's Mask, Zant's Helmet, Tingle's Outfit, etc.), some of which affect balance pretty significantly (e.g. Majora's Mask lets you walk right by enemies), but all of them are easily skipped/not used.

There are also a few other items that aren't so obviously out of place, such as an Ancient Bridle and Saddle (minor buffs for horses), Korok Mask (helps you locate Korok Seeds), or the Travel Medallion (ability to set a warp point), but, at least to me, those are all nice-to-haves, rather than meaningful changes to game balance.

Otherwise, the rest of the changes appear to either affect Master Mode (which you'd choose to play instead of a regular game), are only available after you beat the game (e.g. a new mode of travel), or don't affect balance at all (e.g. Hero's Path Mode just shows you the path you traveled on the map).

Aww, shucks. I had heard about the updates for 4K, the 4:3 option, and the loading screens making a return, but everyone has been mostly silent on the credits.

Well, I don't often say something like this, but hopefully you're wrong and will be in for a nice surprise!

So, you played the original and I see you just picked up the PS4 HD remaster...any word on whether Reset is used in the end credits this time around in Okami? I had heard that the Japanese HD remaster for the PS3 got it, but that they didn’t license it for release outside of Japan, hence why it was missing in other regions. I was hoping they would have cleared that up for the PS4/XBO release, but I haven’t been able to find a straight answer yet.

I can take or leave the loading screen minigames from the original, but when the credits started playing on the PS3 version and I heard something other than Reset, I actually pulled out my imported soundtrack and started playing it instead. To say the least, I’d love for this version to be the definitive release.

Yes! The love and attention to detail that went into this game is amazing. I could spend hours just watching Trico move around.

Wow! Usually I had thought you to review every game you play favorably but Crysis II seems to have been sent to the guillotine.

Dishonored really is enjoyable so far. This is a great change of pace from what I've been playing lately.

And as always, thank you. Still consistent with my themes and always will be!

I love Dishonored more than I could ever put words into. It feels more like a BioShock game that Infinite ever has.
