As a late era "run-of-the-mill" adventure game, it is not bad. Sure the plot is somewhat ridiculous, and some of the decision making is simply awful, (go through complex temple rather than knock out single guard), but the game does have its charms. Breaking the 4th wall jokes, somewhat funny side characters and a lovely environment make the game decent play. The designers of this series should have stuck with one solid story that wound through all three games, like Black Mirror did.

After playing this game a second time round, I find I have warmed up to it. It is not an amazing game, (it lacks originality), however it is not awful. It could easily have been a run of the mill post FF7 PS1 JRPG during the glory days. Nonetheless, it's dream sequences, ring crafting, and music manage to catch a certain charm. The characters aside from Jensen are just plain boring, and the two kids are irritating. Nothing great there. All in all much better than Blue Dragon.

This game had the potential to be so much more! With an interesting mystery and a link between different times, it was set to be a great game. Unfortunately it seems that the creator of the game either had not enough time to finish or needed more help with the adventure game format. Dialogue was amazing, but fleshed out conversations led nowhere. Many useless items and dropped points of interest. The game is too short as well. It seems it needed a little more time to develop. Nice game.

This is a incredibly entertaining "metroidvania" style game set in an underwater world full of Celtic charm. Starring the unlikely heroine of Marin who pilots her submarine around the depths of the ocean looking for her missing father. The story is simple but enjoyable and the world is accentuated by beautifully drawn backgrounds and haunting music reminiscent of Lorena Mckennit. As a marine biologist I am also strongly biased to the setting of the game. This game succeeds in every way

This is a good game. One of the more enjoyable platforming games that I have played in a while. It's single player mode and multiple player mode are both highly enjoyable so much so that I have already played this game twice. The game has so far kept me amused which is more than I can say for most platforming games these days. The cat suit is also a wonderful addition. Lastly, the collectible items are fun to nab in this game and I have redone levels to get them.

Another genius game by the likes of Garry Winnick and Ron Gilbert, the creators of Maniac Mansion, the Monkey Island series, and Day of the Tentacle. The game provides nostalgia by harkening back to the Point and Click adventure games of yore, but with some critical updates to gameplay that make it more playable today. The setting is excellent, the graphics amazing, and the problems to be solved are great! A nice mystery. The only draw back is it is less narrative driven.

Kinda boring. Take all the good elements from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and make them worse. Level design? Worse. Music? Much worse. Bosses? Much worse. Story? Well it doesn't matter that much but they managed to make it worse as well. I do not recommend this game to anyone except die hard fans of the first game like myself.

One of my favourite games so far for the XBOX 360! A great leveling up system like in Borderlands, and you are given the choice on how to take down your enemies, either by stealth or direct combat. There are many side quests, and how you act with people and how you eliminate enemies can have consequences. The world is large, very detailed and is a believable near future to our own present. There is lots of literature about cyberization in the game and it uses lots of real science concepts.

So far other than the cool star trek theme, the game is buggy as crap, and it's upgrade RPG elements are pretty boring. I doubt my opinion of the game will improve once I've finished it. It's too bad. They could have done so much with this game.

For a series that I have not had too much love for, this latest installment is a clear departure. The battle system is not that much different from the 3rd game, however they give you a nice option to doge enemy attacks and use this to your advantage. The story is very well done and follows the investigation of a mystery that the main characters are determined to solve. I love how the game pokes fun at RPG tropes such as the often condescending treatment of females in J-RPG's.

A very entertaining game with a nice system for leveling up and upgrading the character. Nice freedom of exploration in each area, and a good application of cel shaded graphics. Several of the characters were very amusing in the dark humour kind of way, in whatever capacity there were characters at all. This game was amazing in every way but one: THERE IS NO STORY!!! NO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! This is an RPG, so let's see more plot please!

This is an amazing game. For an action adventure, this is pretty much the best it can get, other that Zelda: Twilight Princess. The characters are amazing, and the setting is right out of a Stephen King novel. I can see they have borrowed heavily from Stephen King, The X-Files, and Twin Peaks and have done a bang up success job of it. The humour and voice overs are excellent, and the level design and enemy creation is brilliant. The use of light to weaken enemies is very well done. Sequel please
