I do like challenges, getting an arrow that just directly tells me where to go was something I wasn't too fond of. It made it too easy and removed the sense of exploration and the fun in finding it on my own. It's weird considering a game series like Elder Scrolls where exploration is such a big part of the game, or at least I'd say so.

It's just the fact that he plays through the game just using the game's sound and his own memory. I really find it fascinating watching him play, he probably finished some games before I finished them as well!

By the way, how's the new Zelda game so far?

Oh okey, I was just thinking about a possible future master run...

Aw, that's crap. What exactly happened? Just so that I can avoid that myself when I get the game. I'm gonna check some videos out later on to get a better look at the game.

Then you have something to look forward to, it's a great game in my opinion. Maybe you should wait for Steam's wintersale and perhaps Morrowind will be on sale then. I really enjoy having to find the way to where I'm going on my own, getting hints and directions from villagers. Maybe they could have added an option in Oblivion and Skyrim so that you could choose which way you would like to use in your playthrough.

Haha oh boy, should I be surprised? I guess I'll have to check that out. I also know a very talented guy who is blind and plays videogames. His name is MegaTgarrett on youtube, you should definitely go check him out. Watching him play is really amazing, I've seen him play Ocarina of Time and Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus. Watching him play a 3D game like OoT was really impressive, I didn't think he would be able to play as well as he did.

I can't say anything else other than that I agree with you. Once again it would be nice with an option to please both kind of players but like you said, some games like Wii sports for example probably wouldn't work.

Oh okey, being able to turn back time is a huge relief. Is it possible to beat the game without turning the time back even once or is it necessary to do so in a part of the game (except if you want to save)? Well that doesn't sound too harsh, I'll remember to store my precious rupees!

It does sound like it's a fun game, thanks for the recommendation. I will look at some videos later on. I might try playing it with my brother if I can make him come over here.

That sounds like a lot of fun, I would love to arrange something like that here. I just don't know which people would be interested and where to start.

I do prefer Oblivion over Skyrim but like I said I will probably give Skyrim another chance sometime. The game that I like the most from the series is Morrowind. I really prefer the Morrowind world with its environment and creatures. One thing that I know some people were happy that it was changed in later games was how you had to find people or places yourself. You had to go around asking people trying to get information and descriptions on how to find someone or something, I feel like I'm one of the few that actually enjoyed that.

It really is, I'm having a lot of fun playing it. I like music and it's something that's really important for me. I think SM64 got some really nice soundtracks, my favourite being the awesome song that plays in Jolly Roger Bay! I will definitely try and get all the stars at some point but I do remember having trouble with some of them. (Rainbow Ride for example..)
Skyward Sword was a fun game, I only had some minor complaints about it. Some of it being the controls, though me and Wii controls has never quite worked together. I guess it could be my controller or maybe I'm doing something wrong, I have no idea. I would prefer a Gamecube controller or something else over Wii's motion based ones, it's just not my thing.

So do I, I can't take the pressure! Isn't there a song that turns back time, I have a memory of something like that from Majora's Mask. I guess it has some kind of consequences when you use it. I'm pretty sure I will give it another try and speaking of save pack, doesn't Majora's Mask need one of those expansion packs? I guess I should pick up one of those.

Yeah, playing it with friends probably makes it a lot more fun I could imagine. I'll make sure to grab one of those save packs as well, I found a list and there seems to be quite a few games that can use it. Gauntlet Legends does sound like a game I would enjoy and my experience with Gauntlet II is positive.

You're right, the best memories of playing games are when I played together with friends. It's just so much fun. Now I barely play with friends and if I do it's mostly over the internet, never together in the same room. I thought that was a lot of fun compared to nowadays.

It's also nice to see that you enjoy the Elder Scrolls series! I really like those games as well, I've played all of them except the first one. I remember that Daggerfall was pretty hard and I didn't enjoy Skyrim as much as I thought I would. I should really give Skyrim another chance sometime.

I definitely don't regret it. Majora's Mask is another N64 game I would love to get, Ocarina of Time as well. I think I finished Ocarina of Time but it would still be a lot of fun to replay it again. I barely played Majora's Mask because I didn't like the whole time thing, though I really want to play it now. I guess it wasn't very cheap?

That's some fun games, I've played all of them except Gauntlet Legends. I did add Gauntlet Legends to my "to buy" list before because someone recommended it to me, I guess it would be a good buy in your opinion? Haha I've heard a lot bad things about Superman 64 and I won't get close to it either.

Yeah I did actually get to play, my neighbour was very kind! Often we handed over the controller to each other whenever we died. I did play some multiplayer games as well like Diddy Kong Racing, Pokémon Stadium, Goldeneye, Mario Party and a few others.

Oh really, are you sure? I only remember Heather of the two, from Silent Hill 3. That's weird.

Well I was thinking about all the awesome games I played at my neighbour on his Nintendo 64 when I was younger. Games like Banjo Kazooie, Pokémon Snap, Super Mario 64, Mario Party 3, Yoshi's Story, Conker's Bad Fur Day and the list goes on and on. I felt it was pretty much a must buy considering all the games I liked on the system.

I guess your love for the Nintendo 64 goes back quite a few years as well? What's your favourite games on the system?

I think I'll leave the whole timeline thingy for you, it is far too complicated for me to understand.

Yuck, I got a memory of Silent Hill 3 where I looked through a little peephole and the rabbit was just sitting there on a bed. I think he got closer and closer if you came back and looked through it again. Just thinking about it gives me the creeps.

Do so! I really like the music so sometimes I just open up the music on youtube and enjoy it.

Thanks a lot for the list, appreciate it! Oh how convenient by the fact that I just got a N64 recently after so many years, getting Harvest Moon 64 must be my destiny!

I was expecting a much higher price from a game in such a popular series like Zelda. I remember how confused I was when I found out about the multiple link thing. It just made it even harder for me to understand it all.

Oh, then Silent Hill 3 it is! But I will definitely try Silent Hill 2 whenever I get the chance. I actually think I might have played the third one, isn't that the one with the creepy bunnies?

Heroes is a series of turnbased strategy games, got beautiful music and artstyle. I'm not sure what, but there's something magical about the games that just makes me love it. The Oddworld games so far consists of two 2D platformers (Abe's Oddysee, Abe's Exoddus), one 3D platformer (Munch's Oddysee) and one first person shooter game (Stranger's Wrath).

The first three games (the platformers) do have two nice little features. First thing is the gamespeak where you either hold in L1 or L2 and then press the four different buttons to make the character say some phrases (Playstation). On your way to beating the game you should help free fellow slaves. This is where you will need to use the gamespeak in the game. In the second game it gets a bit more interesting because they have different emotions. There are even blinds ones who will walk in the same direction as your voice and they can't see the different threats so they won't stop no matter what, you will have to plan carefully. The other thing is that after chanting for a while you can posses some enemies (in the second game you can possess almost all of them). The speaking also works for possesed enemies so you can issue commands. And yes, that little guy in my avatar is the main character.

The FPS game is not your normal shooter exactly. You got a crossbow looking weapon and you use animals as your ammunition. There's a zappfly that you got an infinite supply of and with that one you can hunt other animals to use as ammo. Skunks for example can make groups of enemies unable to fight for a moment, the chipmunk will lure away enemies to its location and so on. They are all fun games, the one I like the least might be Munch's Oddysee but I still think it's a fun game, the other ones are just simply better in my opinion. You could watch some videos if you want to get a better idea of what the games are all about.

So it's a farm kind of game, well I got no problem with that. I like most kind of games and it could probably be fun, how many Harvest Moon games are there? Any superior versions?

Great, now I just need to check the prices for it. Hopefully not too expensive but popular games like Zelda tends to cost a bit more. Oh okey, to be honest I barely understood the Zelda timeline or the split timelines. It was all too strange for me to handle.

What I like about Amnesia is that it doesn't seem to rely too much on jumpscares, just a good atmosphere. I didn't really know what Silent Hill 2 was about but when you talk about cults it gets me even more interested. I love creepy cult stories like that.

Well I love the Heroes of Might & Magic series. Mostly I-IV but the fifth game is all right I guess. I haven't played the sixth one yet as I've heard mostly bad things about it, at least from people playing the previous games first, so I haven't felt like trying it. Might try it out later when its price is lower. Also I really like the Oddworld games, as you might be able to tell. With the "Oddworld games" I just mean any game created by Oddworld Inhabitants. But the two Oddworld games I like the most is Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus, the best Oddworld games in my opinion.

I've actually seen a lot of people playing some kind of Harvest Moon game here on Backloggery, but I never even gave it as much as a google search. Should I?
