☆★★★★ I've tried Etrian Odyssey in the past but just couldn't get into it. This game really surprised me -- I loved the battles (even if the floor size started to bother me near the end)! The real star was the characterization. The Arena games are fun distractions but the P3 characters were just so over the top. This game, however, really feels like a natural extension of P3/P4. This game really captured the feeling of these two really different groups of people meeting. I like Yukari now!

☆☆★★★ As a brawler, it's an okay game. I played through the majority of the game without using Frantic and I felt like the difficulty was perfect. Once I used Frantic, though...the battles were over in seconds. Definitely WAY too easy. Load times were frustrating not because they were super long but because there were so many loading screens. The pandering (surprisingly) wasn't too bad. It didn't constantly reference itself over and over like the shit show that's the Neptunia series.

Most definitely! I'm sure it's a matter of preference on some level. Try4ce left a comment on my page that he happened to enjoy MoC most of all. For me, the area maps were just a little -too- big, if that's possible, and the story and characters didn't charm me nearly as much as Ys Seven. I also felt like Seven had stronger art direction all around. Oath is a blast just because it has a little more of and action-y and platform-y feel, as you can jump at certain points and the dungeons are full of treacherous traps.

All in all, I think Ys is one of the most enjoyable series in gaming right now.

Yeah, it's in really good shape actually. I got lucky and had it transferred while it was still 4.99. They marked it up to like 15 or 20 but since the transfer was before that I got to pay the cheap price.

Ah I see. Most of the games I play usually require quick reflexes and muscle memory. I suppose that is more difficult than most RPGs where you mostly have to learn the mechanics and learn how to play the game to your advantage.

I am also kind of intimidated by some of the more complicated RPGs, some seem a bit too difficult to learn the mechanics.

Yes I've seen Kid Icarus, I was quite interested in it after watching videos of it. But then I read about the controls... It seems like it would have been better off on the Wii!

The Misadventures of Tron Bonne is such a great game. Talking to the Servbots was always so much fun...those crazy guys. Training them up was always a blast, too.

Some of the puzzles get hard later on....I figured most of them out on my own, but some forced me to use a guide. Still fun to figure them out, though! And I hope you enjoy the rest of MML2, another favourite of mine.

Hurray for another Legends fan!
