I have to say, your selection of currently played titles is wonderfully eclectic!

I really enjoyed Band of Bugs.

they were mostly fine. my only gripe with them was that there were a number of stability issues... mostly with repeatable cause crashes but also a few randoms... but learning to save often I got over it quick enough.

I always loved the Fable games.

I really want a hardbound coffee table like book for my reviews, so I'm working with a Publisher at the moment.

Actually, a friend suggested I save them, so they are all in a folder on my Computer. That has been very helpful because I have gone back and re-read my reviews, especially at the end of the year for my Top 10 and when I play future games in the franchise.

I... did not have any hate for that game... and liked the setlist more than I liked most of what RB3 had at the time. but I mostly played on medium... and mostly only in a group of my wife and 2 kids. I never got the sound issues you described so that wasn't a thing with me, but a couple of my tracks were literally bugged... permanently. trying to play them either crashed the game or just didn't work at all... they pumped out a couple patches aimed at fixing them but never got it right... must have been a pretty malicious code string...

as for hardware, I got used to that stuff breaking down fast early on, I always bought more than I needed for that reason... family of 4 using them a lot made it something of a priority... especially since one of my sons friend had a habit of busing the whammy bars. all his personal ones and one of mine... which I then said was the only one he was allowed to use. but my original WoR one still works fine.

as for what I liked about the DLC, it gave it way more purpose... at the time, almost every other GH didn't allow DLC in story mode and the DLC in quick-play was basically just leaderboard chases on individual songs which I never cared about... there was a better utilization of goals and experience for the WoR DLC. they weren't just "there". I haven't played WoR in many years now but I would assume even the servers closing changed little in that respect... but I could be wrong...

I really liked how GHWoR handled the DLC stuff. most GH games treated DLC as just an afterthought or just extrastuff with no real use or meaning but WoR made it worthwhile to play it. though a handful of the DLC stuff I owned was permanently bugged even after a bunch of patches aimed at fixing them specifically...

I too played a lot of the ME3 multiplayer. mostly to get my readiness up... but it was fun. but I only played Andromeda single player...

I feel you about having no time to play. Adulting sucks. When I do have gaming time, I've been trying to focus on my PS3 backlog.

My brother was kind enough to buy me a PS5 (and two games for it) earlier this year but I haven't had the time nor desire to set it up; I have enough games to get through on PS3 and PS4. But with Spider-Man 2 coming out, I just might have to set up the PS5 for that lol. I thoroughly enjoyed the first one and Miles Morales (still haven't that one). Also, the Dead Space remake has been calling to me.

But yeah, I'm doing as well as I can. I lost my cat (my baby) in May 2022 after three months of battling her health issues (still getting over this loss), and now this year (starting last month in August) my father is on hospice and declining, so my mental health has not been the best, but I'm trying to "endure and survive", get through it all. Gaming has been a nice respite, when I am able to play.

a lot of people gave Mass Effect: Andromeda a lot of heat but I thought it was a pretty great game... sucks we never got the DLC or sequel due to all the hate though... especially since it ended with a cliffhanger.

Forgot to mention that compared to a lot of the profiles I have on my PSN friends list, my 300 platinums is small. I have a friend that has over 1000 platinums.

(unobtainable Platinums for me) It's quite a few. Off the top of my head:

- MAG (I REALLY wish I could have gotten this one)
- SOCOM Confrontation (I didn't do any progress/trophies toward this one, but it hurts for me)
- Tom Clancy's EndWar (One of the trophies became unobtainable and I can't go back to it)
-Lost Planet 2 (Some hacker screwed up the leaderboards making the Platinum unobtainable)
- UFC Undisputed 2010
- Friday The 13th (developers put a patch that literally broke trophies and are too stupid to go back and fix it)
- Guitar Hero Live (plastic instrument I was using literally broke in my hands and it was too late to get a new one)
- Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 (got screwed over by a trophy booster for this who offered to help me and disappeared after he got his stuff done)
- FIFA 15 (I couldn't connect to anyone for some of the online trophies and it would have errors when I did multiplayer matches)
- Transformers Rise of the Dark Spark PS3 / Transformers Fall of Cybertron PS4 (I didn't take advantage of it and some idiot friend of mine on PSN would message me for me to help him capture video for his YouTube page. He hasn't been online since then)
- Rayman Legends PS3 / Rayman Legends Vita (Ubisoft have taken the servers down without an announcement)
