☆☆★★★ A Sokoban-type puzzle game where your main goal is to collect all the hearts on the stage while pushing blocks, turning enemies into eggs, crossing water, etc. It actually has some really deep gameplay and a really nice presentation, but it has some problems, like you can't see the water flow without pushing something onto it, can't see which hearts give you shots, some stages feel just overly difficult, and the music is annoying for the first few worlds. Fixing these would've made it awesome.

☆★★★★ It plays kinda like Candy Crush, I guess. And it's free to play, also. But it has Pokémon elements, like Mega Evolutions, type effectivenesses, and special abilities. It can be pretty addicting, and they update it all the time, so it's a really big time sink.

☆★★★★ A monster collecting RPG that looks really similar to Pokémon on the surface, but is actually very different. It's set in big, really expansive town, and you can pretty much go almost anywhere at any time, as the game follows more like an episodic story narrative. It's nice and charming. You have a lot less impact on battles in this game, as Yo-kai fight for themselves, and their actions are based on their personalities, but you can switch them out, use items, or even super moves. It's fun.

The thing is, many of the stages are autoscrollers. You can very easily screw up there. Plus some secrets for extra Stars are very well hidden. And no, you just have to do bosses without taking damage. I can't imagine doing Claycia without taking damage...
Oh well, I'll see. The thing I don't like about Challenge Mode is that you can't practice at later 15 second challenges unless you clear the ones before. It might lead into a vicious circle of forgetting how to do a previous challenge. The other annoying thing is that you still have to grab the Chest, and it might sometimes take some orecious seconds and, ultimately, let you fail.
Well, I just know Coo's Theme from that game I liked how before being painted into a Tank, Submarine or Rocket, Elline just turned you into one of the helpers from that game. Coo appeared before Rocket.

It even works on the Super Gameboy. That was the first device I tried my copy on once I learned about that trick. Agree with you about the blocks looking similar in the heat of the moment. Tetris Attack for the Gameboy did a much better job with that.

Never knew that and that is a shame the Lip is only unlockable in the Japanese version. What harm can come from having her unlockable in the other versions?

Oh, you are right,I forgot about the Kirby transformation and Lip’s theme. I’m sure they could work out a great move set for Lip, like you said, it was surprising how creative they got with Pac-Man and Duck Hunt.

Yeah, Challenge Mode was pretty hard when I first tried it but I was worse at the game on my first playthrough. The thing I'm much more concerned about is getting Gold Medals in all normal stages: the Challenges last a minute at best, the Story Mode levels might last over 10 minutes if you're going for as many Stars as possible. The fact Tresure Chests give 10 Stars after they've been obtained once helps, plus there's a 50 Stars bonus at the end, but I'm pretty bad at the goal bonuses. I had to do a stage FOUR times to get its Diary Page once But yeah, I'm really determined to get this done before I go on vacation. 20 days should be enough.
The Figurines are really cute, especially the dioramas with Kirby
The remix of Coo's Theme is used as the music for W2-2 if you're not in the Tank form, just slown down and looped earlier. And yeah, now that I think about that might really have been foreshadowing!
They're kind of slow, except the Rocket ones which are too fast.
Well, my score is kind of acting like a wave, going up and down. I went down to 198 when I got 10 games at once, recovered to 206 but bought some more and fell to 204, now Rainbow Paintbrush brought me back to 205 and Diamond will hopefully bring me back to 206 tomorrow. I definitely have to play these new games, I've got 10 games and I never imagined it would go that high
EDIT: BTW, my goal is 215, which is more than MarioGamePlayer's score when it advances again (it recently went down).

Yeah, just because I am taking part in a Just Play it June challenge by one of my Multitappers, ChaseAlan. I joined mid-June, yet finished the challenge once and am about to do it again My Progress Note isn't updated right now, I am at 7-3 now, quit because the GamePad had to charge again
I have to say it's a lot more fun than I remembered, barring the transofrmation levels. Level (World) 6 was my favorite, though Level 7 is shaping up to be pretty good as well. As for that ghost ship, I really did it without many problems (even twice because I missed the Secret Diary page first try), I just had to be more careful moving around.
While I'm at it I'll just ask for your advice: there is a percentage on the File screen, but it seems it only regards Story Mode. So if I get all collectables and Gold Medals, it should probably read 100%, even if Challenge Mode is untouched. Even though it's unlikely I'll get all Gold Medals, what should I do when I get to this 100%? I also marked Shovel Knight without finishing its Challenge Mode.
Also, you're almost getting to a Multitap score of 250. You can do it! I keep buying new games and can't reach 210
EDIT: All Gold Medals make up their own 1%. Too bad tons of them are earned in Challenge Mode. I will actually try to do this, leaving games and not is bad for me.

You sure can. You can even activate it on the 3DS Virtual Console.

I agree, the newer editions of the Tetris Attack formula is missing something. Oh, there is a DS version of Puzzle League? That’s cool! And having a Lip theme would help it feel more like the original game. I wonder how many Smash Bros. games will it be until Lip is a fighter? We already have her stick as a weapon.

For me they still are beetles Bugzzy is the most iconic for me because it was the Helper for it, plus Jukid looks like someone who would give Fighter when inhaled and Phan Phan doesn't look like a good wrestler.

Yeah, that's what made me like Suplex too. I have to say that Bugzzy, the enemy that gives Suplex, looks pretty similar, to the one who gives Beetle, just larger, so I doubt Suplex wilo come back. If Bugzzy did, it would probably give Beetle.
It still has pretty weird attacks. I do not image it being a strong Ability anytime.
Me too, I'm specifically hoping for a Spear Bandana Waddle Dee amiibo that gives Spear. I can not resist amiibo

You got me again
I liked Suplex too, one would say it's OP though. It deals a lot of damage to bosses. Yeah, it was kind of weird Beetle and Bell didn't return, I kind of understand Beetle though because there was no forest level to put a beetle into. I hate Circus instead, it's a surprisingly hard ability to use. The attacks kind of go everywhere but on the enemy Yeah, Poison is the new Water, but Spear and Archer are pretty different. Spear's attacks don't go as far as Archer's, plus it has some melee attacks as far as I remember.

Oh yeah, that one is great! I have not played much of it, but it has been pretty great so far. Who would not like Tetris Attack on the go? You can even activate a beta version of the Game Boy Panel de Pon with a button sequence at the title screen. Never played Pokemon Puzzle League, but I would like to try it out someday. I recently got a GBA copy Dr. Mario & Puzzle League and its pretty decent as well.

Still, I can't see the difference. You must have a good eye for these particulars! It might just using a bad resolution though.
EDIT: I noticed your thoughts on Robobot right now, my bad
Definitely the darkest story if we consider your story, without it it is probably the lightest one.
Yeah, I kind of liked Robobot Armors too for the same reason: they kept gameplay fluid. Overall though I like Super Abilities just as much because they were rare and, anyways, rarely used. Hypernova was pretty sluggish. Jet and Wheel Robobots are one mf my favorite aspects of the game too, especially Kabula coming out of nowhere after defeating COGS again. That was awesome and pretty unexpected
I love Jet and Mirror too, I like the changes to it so that it actually becomes reliable. It might even be an ability that can be used for the True Arena, considering every attack has invincibility in it and the shield move is better than normal. It might be an ability working similar to your Archer strategy, just a little bit trickier. I'm kind of sad Fly didn't make the cut, though, it is one of my favorite abilities
I don't agree with many good new tracks, the leitmotif heard through the game was catchy but after that the new music wasn't memorable. Loved how there was lots of remixed music. My favorite was probably the music in the purple tower level, the remix of Dark tower from KDL3, and Distant Traveler in the final extra Story Mode level. Egg Engines stage 2 is an awesome theme too, definitely didn't miss it though.
Same for the world being mechanic. I hated it at first, but then the game used that gimmick better and started to like it.
As I saide before, Dedede's Drum Dash (Deluxe) will always be my favorite, I liked Kirby Team Clash too. Kirby 3D Rumble was a little worse, mainly me being disappointed there is no EX stage. It could have been a deep night/dawn stage. I prefer Keychains too because they are retro sprites, though I have to say I liked some Stickers (the numbers were nice, same for the star, and characters drawn in doddle, manga and comic book style were me favorite ones). Couldn't care less for kanji, it might make some cool combination with the right words.
Agreed with the bosses, Holo-Coily Rattler was the only boss that was a chore to fight and it was from KTD. I would say that KPR is slightly better than KTD, now that I think about it.
I just remembered this is my only account somewhere in the Internet

It's sad the modes remove the gimmick parts too, a Hypernova Dedede would have been really cool.
I was surprised by Queen Sectonia instead, mostly because of her laugh. It scares me everytime I hear it (yes, I get scared THIS easily ) and is overall an annoying boss to fight. And also by Taranza cameoing, emerging from the purple ball when it was about to explode.

Yeah, it's a tough choice. They were really similar to each other, each one doing something better than the other. Looking at just Story Mode, KPR is better, but looking at other modes, KTD is better (I preferred this one's minigames and Dededetour, since Meta Knight is way too powerful, while Dedede is actually a big target and can't heal whenever he wants).
Thanks for ruining my day. (sarcasm) But whoa, I define Kirby games as mellow on the outside and deep in the inside, but this is a whole new level of story deepness... Really, who would think about reading every boss's bio? I probably think it's Star Dream taking over Haltmann and not refusing her, as seen in the extra video clip Susie is singing for Haltmann and he just applauds as if she was an empolyed singer. I heard some screams why fighting Star Dream, I thought it was Haltmann being desperated about his creation being destroyed, but definitely heard nothing at the end, just during the first phase. So, what you're telling me is that... by completing the True Arena... I MURDERED SOMEONE? I kind of regret this now...

I forgot to ask how did you find Kirby Planet Robobot at the end of the day, now that we've both it. Based from my relatively limited Kirby knowledge, I would say the following: KRtDL > KSSU > KTD = KPR
You would also like to share your thoughts with someone called nickmett, he asked mine but I am terribly bad at this and gave him an overview of the game instead
Also, I saw someone called Krisi on NintendoLife, I'm betting it's you since 2 out of the 6 "owned" games are Goemon ones

It's because when you're collecting random drops, you just sort of get into this zone of superstition, in which you create all sorts of things in your mind that you believe will help with the outcome. I know that I most definitely find myself in such a place when I'm playing a Castlevania game, trying to fill out the bestiary. A lot of times, I even know that it won't affect the outcome, but I do it anyway. I wish that I had specific examples, but I haven't played one in quite a long time.

Honestly, I don't like to fly in Kirby games; it's a really easy way to get around, but it really breaks momentum, so I think I'm going to really enjoy those armors, especially with enemies that you can fight only with them.

Sonic Advance is far from the best Sonic game I've ever played, but it's definitely not the worst. The bonus games for the Chaos Emeralds are pretty bad, because you can't tell where the rings actually are in the 3D space, so they're very easy to miss, even when you feel like you're right on top of them. There's nothing new in terms of level themes, either, but some of the actual level designs have the old magic, and even better in a few cases. You have to beat it with 4 different characters, which are interesting, except that Amy can't actually spindash or jump on enemies AT ALL. They all have melee attacks, which is a little weird, but pretty helpful at spots, especially since Amy can't use anything else. It's definitely not as good as 2 or 3&K on the Mega Drive, but still a worthy entry, I'd say. I looked at the bonus games for Advance 2 and 3, and gave them a fuzzyfatnope.

Ah, gotcha. And juggling your ability “star” with the stars that the bosses make sounds tricky. Do those rules apply in the world maps too? There are some area I don’t think you can reach by jumping along. That is good to know that Mix is allowed.

Sorry to hear about your copy not saving. I’ve heard about those Nintendo Power carts. I wish the rest of the world got a chance at them, oh well. I can see why that game would be so hard to find and I looked it up on ebay and the prices are quite insane.

I actually kinda prefer it that way; I'd like to decorate my armor the way I see fit, but if I needed a certain boost, or the stickers I like had dumb perks, I'd wind up using something other than what I want.

That's good. Yeah, I remember spending entirely too long with Kirby 64 getting all of those cards... twice... y'know, 'cause I sold my N64 once the Virtual Console became a thing. I never really thought to use the phoenix to blaze through the first level over and over again; I just played each level in sequence for the sake of variety. I like your method a lot better.

Oh, okay; I didn't realize that it was still really overpowered. Still, it'd be neat to have an arena for it, like that gigantic revenge level near the end of Return to Dream Land, where you get the giant sword and carve up about 50 minibosses in one level. The Hypernova was a bit more balanced, since they used it in a way that you weren't completely destroying minibosses with zero effort.

That's not entirely unlikely. I certainly remember when I first learned how to make my own Game Genie codes; I played around with those for months, and I made some interesting things. The one that I wish I still had was one that turned everything insane colors in Super Mario Bros.; the sky was pink, and the Koopa Troopas were mostly black with turquoise trim and blood red eyes.
