 		I heard Earth Defense Force was really fun, despite it being obviously cheesy. almost like a "B" movie. It pretty fun? I also heard it is pretty hard.

 		Nostalgia's pretty good. It's like the RPG version of a box of donuts, where you know it's not filling and ultimately empty calories, but still good.

Or, to be an asshat, "OMG! It's Skiez of Arcadia in teh 19th centuriez if it was kewlzorz wit airships!11!!!"

Oh, and since I didn't catch you last bit on SD3 earlier, yeah, I picked it up in a Canadian store.

 		RE: Phantasy Star IV vs Star Ocean commentary:

It's actually pretty shameful that the go-to choice series for "sci-fi lovers" in RPGs can't beat the old Phantasy Stars when it comes to setting most of the time. I suppose it'd be less excusable if "OMG! I crash landed on a planet that's equivalent to the 15th Century, but with MAGIC I MEAN SYMBOLOGY!" wasn't abused so heavily in SO games.

 		Happy New Year, Ike! Congrats on completing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. I still can't get over how awesome the final two cases were with Edgeworth! I'm currently a little bit disappointed with Justice for All thus far on the third case (although I heard the fourth case apparently "redeems" the entire game). I think Franziska von Karma is a decent antagonist, but doesn't exactly compare to her father and Mr. Edgeworth in terms of charisma.

 		Nice job ing Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. How was it for a fan of the series? I was highly skeptical but the good reviews keep pouring in and I love the idea of the 'psych profiling' the game does. I just don't care for the idea of making Silent Hill "frozen over."

 		Nah, there's nothing wrong with EDF2017, I was just somewhat disappointed that the mission and enemy variety was sacrificed for the visuals. It was made up for in the sheer awesomeness of the new mothership at the end. There was a pretty good writeup of EDF2017 as a forgotten classic in a british mag recently. I want to say Edge, but it might've been RetroGamer.

 		I don't mind that EDF 2017 is a reskin/remix of the first Boeigun game. I love the PS2 versions for their 50's-style purple and green alien weaponry and their rendition of the dino-mech as a Godzilla rip. Boeigun 2 was a vast improvement. It looks fine on a PS2 but it would be so pretty on the 360 or PS3. I like farming weapons in Crimson since if things go poorly you can flee into the ocean and ride on the backs of the ants. They're harmless if they can't bite. They're like big angry dolphins!

 		The previous chapter in the Earth Defense Force series. You can find it as Earth Defence Force (with a C instead of an S) in a PAL version or as Chikyuu Boeigun 2 in a Jpn version both for PS2. It is almost the same game. Cruder graphics in a sense, but offers a flying player character and a wider variety of monsters and mission types.

 		Hmmm, not sure I'd say that, mostly because I adore Lost Odyssey and think that The Last Remnant is excellent, technical issues notwithstanding, but yeah, MC2 is definitely shaping up to be a great RPG. I wasn't too impressed with the beginning/the first two hours (at all), but thankfully, it's getting better and better. <3

 		Is Juto really Elgar? I had that figured out before starting the game, but then Zephie's signature technique being called soul separation pretty much sealed the deal.
I really wonder why they went with something so similar to the last MC?

Not that I'm bothered by it, but is there more to it?

I actually have a question about Magna Carta 2 that I'm curious about, will put it in spoiler brackets to be safe (it's not a spoiler as I'm only 3 hours in, but more so an observation):
Concerning Juto...is it as obvious as it appears to be? Or is there more to it?
