Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
Oh, tell me about it. That is one of the many reasons I didn't like the original Persona games. The first person dungeon crawling made it incredibly difficult to know where you are going. Add on random battles and I got lost so many times. Hopefully, Shining isn't like any of those and that it is much better implemented. It's funny, but I know very little of the game and only bought it to complete my 'Shining' Genesis collection.

So, the Game Genie works with SNES as well? That is really interesting. I'll have to check that out, though most of the SNES games I want to import are RPG's and those would be hard without a translation patch. I actually already removed those tabs in my SNES. I own a Super GameBoy 2 that was Japan only, so to play it, I had to remove the tabs. It's something I kind of regret doing just because I don't have any GameBoy games, but it's not a big deal to me.

"music sounds like a busted EKG machine dueling a hyperactive child who just downed a pound of Pixy Stix and started performing a drum solo with a metal wisk and bowl." *Laughs* Could you be more descriptive? I don't think a game has ever had music that bad for me. I eventually got used to the warning music in the original Zelda, but nothing where I had to mute my own television!

Herald of Bak'laag: 500+ unfinished games
Treasure Hunter: 1000+ games
Yup, you got the joke!

I'm just really psyched for this new Metroid game coming next month. I thought it might be time for me to finally revisit the Prime series. I don't have the best of memories, but the recent playthroughs have smoothed over my opinions for the games.

A password system is super nice. Maybe that is why Splatterhouse 2 isn't too difficult. Granted, Castlevania III has a password system and that game is incredibly hard. So, hopefully, you'll be able to Splatterhouse 2 as well this summer!

Yeah, I've been slightly hesitant about Shining in the Darkness because of First Person Dungeon Crawling, but I've heard glowing reviews from several people. I'm willing to go in with an open mind, so hopefully it should be enjoyable. Shining Force is a perfect and great starter SRPG. It's not overly long or complex, which is great for that genre.

I think importing has gotten so much easier recently with the advent of the Retron 5. Before, it was more confusing and hard to do. Now, people can buy the JPN version, attach an English patch and you are playing the English game. Ducktales 2 and Chip N Dale 2 used to be super cheap in Japan, but now they are going up in price because of that very reason.

Wow, I never knew about the Game Genie. I should definitely look into that. Unfortunately, my Repro/JPN/Intl releases are much larger on the SNES compared to the Genesis. For the Genesis, I only really want Alien Soldier, maybe Golden Axe III, MM: The Wily Wars, Monster World IV and Pulseman. For SNES/NES, it is so much longer mostly because of the RPG's.

*Laughs* Yeah, getting hit in 1942 is just painful. I don't think it has that annoying beeping, though I could be wrong. I have only played it in the Arcade and that did have other music being played at the time.
The greater the difficulty, the more glory in surmounting it.
