This is quite possibly the best shmup, let alone gaming experience, on the Sega Game Gear. It is a technical marvel that pushes the hardware capabilities beyond their limits. Taking all of the best elements of the previous Aleste games, GGA3 refines them with elegance, resulting in a fast and tense shmup on the go. Each level has its own unique gimmick, which makes for a memorable experience; however, the last stage is needlessly long, drags on, and, frankly, relies on cheap tricks.
