It really depends on how 'right now' you need something. For the most part, what I've been getting for a while now are games, which unfortunately (shipping-wise) come in *very* large boxes. You basically have two methods of shipping (there are more, but it really comes down to these two): EMS and SAL. EMS is very, very fast and for 2-4 games tends to run in the $40-60 range (depending on weight & volume). SAL is very, very slow (usually goes on a ship) and would usually run in the $20-25 range for a similar parcel. As for time difference, you can expect an EMS shipped item to arrive at your door generally within 5-7 days (sometimes less...it depends on customs) while SAL will usually be in the vicinity of a month or more.

Hey, thanks!

The hardest part was getting the Japanese PCs (X68000 and FM Towns) mechanically and electronically sound, maintenance-wise. Those old systems have some *very* well known problems that crop up over time. Once that was done, the rest is pretty easy. I tend to do nearly all of my purchasing via Yahoo Auctions Japan (or something similar such as Rakuten Global Market, Amazon.jp, etc), so finding the games isn't as difficult as you might think. The only real 'issue' is that these things tend to be very, very expensive haha.

That being said, there's just nothing like grabbing an original title off the shelf and popping it into the original hardware with all the legitimate peripherals/controllers/etc. You just can't get that with emulation

Noticed you picked up the first three Suikoden games. They're pretty amazing, especially 2. Hope you enjoy them.

It is indeed. I just got the Dragon last night actually. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, though. I have to go to the Underworld now! That oughta be fun.
