Oh, it was definitely good times. I'm glad I was able to come by.

As for actually playing it, I dunno...I'm kinda thinking about taking a break from backlogging for a month or so, so that I can get my final semester work done. I might sneak some games here or there but Spelunky doesn't seem like a "drop for two weeks then jump back in" kinda game. We'll see.

The Tunnelman is an extortionist.

And in only about 200 deaths. Very impressive. The boss is actually not that difficult, the trick is just patience. Lots and lots of patience.

I think my personal favorite was I threw a rock or a bomb something at a rising UFO, only to realize afterward that there were several UFOs beneath, near, and following the one I attacked, sending off a chain reaction of violent alien death.

On the opposite side of things, I myself have been thrown hard and repeatedly by a single yeti enough for my poor adventurer's corpse to disintegrate after looping the yeti playing baseball with my lifeless body for about two minutes.

EDIT: Oh ho ho ho, streaming it I see? I may have to catch that.

At least it should be a better game than Star Ocean: First Departure. Since I'm playing the PSP version, I get to hear good voice acting. I hear it isn't too long of a game, though.

I loved Final Fantasy VI from beginning to end. It was worth restarting my file once to replay the first 10 hours of the game just to get to the Floating Continent and save Shadow this time. It made the rest of the game so much better. I really liked how the game opened up once I got to the World of Ruin and how I could jump to the endgame at any time I wanted to. Sure, there could have been more stuff I could have gone after, but 28 hours into the game, I felt that I was ready to storm Kefka's Tower. Unlike the final dungeons in the earlier games, I thought that Kefka's Tower was well designed. Props to Square for adding a save point right before the final boss fight. It's a step up from the earlier Final Fantasy games.

The game had a lot of memorable scenes, like the opera scene, any fight with Ultros, and the fight against Kefka. I thought the fight against Kefka was easy thanks to Terra + Ultima + Dualcast + MP costs cut in half + the ability to absorb magic. By the time I finished the game, Terra was at Level 53 while everyone else was in the low 40s. I would love to do a

run for this game in the near future, when I want to take a break from fighting

Huh. I remembered it being level 9...

Basically once you get the ice and yeti levels, there's no floor. And due to the randomization of the game, it's quite possible to trap yourself opposite to the exit, forever unable to complete a level.

I really don't have time for that sort of thing...I have things to do...places to be...(Though I suppose making it to the playoffs in Tecmo as the Cardinals is a HUGE handicap...worst team in the game)

Well...worst comes to worst...and someone gets all bent outta shape...I'll just do what I always do...endlessly fight them until I win!

What game's in particular are you referring to? Tecmo Super Bowl? Is maxing out the scoreboard enough? Cause it tops out at 99...

I got every single star in Super Mario Galaxy...

I've gotten every unlockable, collected every treasure...and beaten Tomb Raider Legend on the hardest difficulty. (As well as beaten all the stage time trials)

Just curious...Are people really that anal retentive about that sorta thing?

Oh yeah!

I corrected a lot of my Backloggery game list recently after we briefly spoke of it some time back. I've changed a lot o M's to C's. But some are still there. And I corrected some games I have beaten. Taken out some stuff I borrowed...etc, etc....

...and I don't know who Ego_Orb is...but he has a fantastic avatar...
