Infinite Wealth is so good. I prefer the change to turn-based combat more than I thought I would, which is why Like a Dragon 1&2 are my favourite games in the series.

If you haven't seen already I'd recommend Avalon, also by Oshii, the themes are really close to what you describe. Saw it pretty recently and I love it.

Funny you mention GITS because I just read the original manga for the first time recently, and I really loved it. Motoko is different from what I'm used to in the Oshii version but she's so awesome. Makes me want to finally check out stand alone complex if I can get the time next year. As for Mulholland Drive I got to see it in the theater again this year and its still amazing as ever.

How does Spider-Man 2 stack up to the first one?

Same! I absolutely love visual novels, especially ones with a mystery/horror theme. Another Code Recollection looks amazing and I'd love it if Hotel Dusk/Last Window will get the same treatment. Honestly didn't expect to ever hear from Another Code ever again. I believe a third game was planned back in the day by CING, so I wonder if they are going to continue the franchise if Recollection does well.

The Zero Escape trilogy is definitely top tier, even though Zero Time Dilemma felt a little bit out of place imo. It felt a bit rushed compared to 999 and VLR and the characters were a bit...generic/lifeless? Still an awesome story though and yes, incredible soundtrack for sure.

Honestly, it's such a shame that this game didn't get the recognition it deserves. I'd say if you enjoy the likes of Ace Attorney, Zero Escape, Danganronpa or horror(esque) visual novels in general, you can't go wrong with this game. It should catch your interest within the first hour as it throws an intriguing mystery at you from the getgo. After that you will slowly unravel it while meeting interesting characters. Plot, setting and soundtrack are all great and it's rather fast-paced (barely any filler). The puzzle elements are very light compared to the aforementioned, but it's worth it for the story alone.

I don't think I've heard anyone talk negative about it either. It's around 15 hours long and rather cheap. Go for it, I'm sure you won't regret it.
