 		Right, I never did buy that love story. You're going along for over half the game chasing this sorceress broad, and then *BAM* Rinoa and Squall are deeply in love. What the hell? Really, I don't think any of the main characters received proper development. Selphie and Zell are just there (I had to look their names up just now, they left such a weak impression), and I still don't feel I have a good idea of who Squall or Rinoa are, besides an angsty boy and the girl who kinda likes him.

The elitists can bash FF7 if they want, but at least it had consistently developing themes that played through to the end, and well developed characters.
