About Me ▼
My gaming journey started in 1996 when my parents dusted off their NES and introduced little me to Zelda & Mario. I'm a console gamer at heart despite owning a nice gaming laptop. Reason mainly being that I'm in the top 500 for Gamerscore on Xbox (World) and top 1500 in the US for trophy count on Playstation. I currently have 31,500+ achievements on Xbox and 15,500+ trophies on PS. This is my life and only hobby.
My early years were mostly Nintendo and PC. Love The Legend of Zelda and have played every single one of them growing up, including scratching off Skyward Sword in 2022. I also played a ton of Nascar games in my childhood, spending the majority of the time driving backwards because it was hilarious.
Spent my teenage years playing nothing but Halo 2, and was pretty good at the game. I got to 32 with a pro clan before they reset the stats for the first time in early 2005. Wanted to go pro myself and attend MLG events but my parents wouldn't support it, so with no income for 14 year old me, the dream died that day. Still remains my favorite game of all time; I don't think anything will ever beat it. I'm washed up now but occasionally I'll sneak in a nice play or two when playing MCC.
I followed up 4,500 hours in Halo 2 with 2k+ hours in Call of Duty 4. Made it to the top 25 on the kills leaderboard in April 2008 and then retired from competitive shooters because it was stressful competing at high levels. Other games with 1,000+ hours would include Destiny 1 and Destiny 2, although it's more of a love/hate relationship with those games. I've played just about every Guitar Hero/Rock Band game that has come out, and it is the series I am most skilled at. Unless it is an over-the-top fan made song, I can 5 star it on expert and have hundreds of expert FCs. My 15 year old guitar is hanging on by a thread but as of 2022 I still play once a month, streaming it on Twitch.
Present day I am an achievement / trophy completionist, with 99.80% completion on Xbox (31,500 achievements) and 99.96% completion across 15,500 trophies on PS. I will do my damnedest to complete a game 100% and I consider it complete when I have obtained all achievements/trophies. Favorite five games of the 8th gen are: Final Fantasy VII Remake, Horizon Zero Dawn, Code Vein, Bloodborne and Dark Souls Remastered. I own both a PS5 and Xbox Series X. I try to play what I can on Xbox due to being higher on the gamerscore leaderboard than trophy leaderboard. I achieved 1 million gamerscore in May 2022, becoming the 758th in the world to do so.
Random fact: My original gamertag from 2004 to 2019 was x1001x Puppys. Back when I was playing Halo 1 at my best friends house, I needed a concrete name. I like "101 Dalmations," because it sounded funny to be killed by that and it was my favorite movie at the time. It wouldn't fit in Halo 1's character creator, so I shortened it to 1001puppys, going a little bit over the top with the amount of puppies players would kill or be killed by. To this day I don't think anyone really got it. Instead I was barraged by "you spelled puppys wrong" or "do you have 1001 puppies? hur hur hur." Wanting a fresh start, I started changing my stuff to "AerisFlowerGirl" or variations of "Aerith" in 2019. I love Aerith from Final Fantasy VII and I cannot wait for more parts of the Final Fantasy VII Remake.
As for Backloggery, these are my explanations:
Unstarted: I do not list these, simply because I do not keep a large backlog. I own no more than 1-2 games at a time that I plan to play and almost always finish a game when I start it.
Unfinished: Barely played, gave up before beating the story or completing my personal objective.
Beat: Either beat the main objective (story or personal) or have finished playing the game but have not earned all achievements/trophies.
Complete: Either 100% (non Xbox/PS) or have earned 100% of the achievements / trophies as that is when I consider a game complete.
