How does A House Of Many Doors compare to Sunless Sea? I've been thinking about getting it...

I have sucessfully completed my previous new year's resolution of not buying from a big video game company! I think my current resolution will be the same

Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
In the year 2668.364, The Battle of the Hell Hole was fought between Kilrathi and Landreich forces. Three Landreich light carriers, a Confederation escort carrier, ninety fighters, and a destroyer squadron went up against a trio of Kilrathi heavy carriers, over three hundred fighters, and a Hakaga supercarrier.

At just under six minutes it was one of the shortest fleet actions in history. The Hakaga was routed after sustaining a dozen torpedo hits and hundreds of hull breaches.

The Landreich refused to engage the other four supercarriers. Half an hour later, the bulk of the Kilrathi fleet jumped into Sirius with the goal of wiping out the remnants of the Confederation Navy.

Why is it that strategy-type games tend to be more expensive then other types?

Your friends don't necessary have to be sitting right next to you for it to be a fun "multiplayer with friends" game. Voice chat is a wonderful thing.

Cool, I'll definitely pay more attention to it now, it's been awhile since then.

I have Crawl on my Steam wishlist actually (along with way too many other games), it's about mid-high on the priority list there I think. I played it at a gaming meetup 2 years ago though, and maybe it was still too early access, but I remember something about it didn't play right, like it was really difficult for enemy players to actually affect the human player much, or it wasn't clear what the human player should be doing.

I realize we may have just not known what we were doing, but that impression delayed me picking it up for a bit. Considering it still gets buzz I'll definitely give it a 2nd chance!
