As I was saying. The characters are wonderful and are a joy to listen to.

And I guess last is the visuals. Which look good. I'm not one for visuals really. But I will say the art style of the game is really good. Lots of 2d (hand drawn?) Backgrounds and characters. Although I noticed not everything is 2d. There are some moments where 3d models are used. But they're blended in really really well. You won't notice unless you are looking or stop and look. Not sure how the team did it but it's nice. Another little thing is that there are some achievements that are missable ( I dunno if that's a word) so if you really really care about those then you kinda need to play with a guide or pay attention. But honestly I don't think that game should have any but it's whatever. I was going to wait to finish that game and do all of them before I finished but I didn't want to let something so trivial ruin the experience.

Well I feel like I'm getting sidetracked in my message. It's late here for me so I won't ramble much longer.

Overall I will say that Spiritfarer is one of the best games of all time. At least for me. This game really shows that video games can be pieces of art that are able to tell stories in such a way that books, tv shows, and movies can't. Everything about this game is so beautiful to me and means a lot to me. I feel like this game has touched my mind, heart, and spirit (no pun intended) in a way that no other game has. I feel like it's a game that will stick with me for a very long time.

Hey! Just wanted to say I just finished Spiritfarer and I have to say. And I usually don't say this often, but no hyperbole, this is probably one of the best games ever made. The best 32 hours of my life spent. This game will probably be one of the few games that have an impact on my life and will always be there in the back of my mind. I won't spoil any of the story really. But I will appreciate my life and loved ones a lot more now. (Thinking about the ending does make me sad and tear up a bit. But I won't say anything like I promised! :P)

So the gameplay is very good. You do things such as cooking, planting, farming, mining, doing task for the animals on your boat, upgrading your boat, charting more of the map, talking with the animals, finding new spots on the map and being able to do similar things on them, and much more. I never felt tired or bored of the gameplay and most of the time it wasn't bad. The first few hours sailing might be a bit of a slow start. But I highly recommend sailing to a "Bus Stop" when the icon is yellow on your map. It'll be super helpful for the rest of the game. There are mini games when doing certain activities, such as trying to keep a needle in the middle of perfect temperature zone when smelting ores and pressing the right buttons in order when singing to plants to make them grow faster. (The song from that mini game is one of my favorites) There's plenty more I haven't listed and they all have wonderful music that plays with them (The theme that plays during the dragon encounters are another favorite of mine)

Speaking of music. It's wonderful. It's all very calming and relaxing and never feels out of place. The light motif that plays throughout the game is my favorite too and definitely has this certain happy, yet somber feeling to it. The variety of music seemed to be pretty good. But a lot of it seemed to be wind instruments as far as I can remember. Which is nothing wrong with that. Definitely fits the whole sailing theme. There are also more ambitious themes as well when things do get more intense. A lot of those are great too. I found myself humming to a lot of the songs.

The characters are extremely well written and they're all enjoyable to see their stories unfold as you complete more of their quest. They are all my favorites and I loved all of them. I can't and won't say much here since this kinds ties into the story. (Going to continue my thoughts on a second post. Never thought I'd use all the space :p )
