I got the bad ending too. I was playing in normal and often clumsily so that made it tougher to stay alive. I used a ton of potions on the merry-go-round and never had a good stock after that. Sometimes I fought when I should run or ran when I should fight too but that is because I didn’t know the game well. It was my first time too after all.

No not really. What I did is knowingly saved when I was one hit away from death right before the last boss. If I had to do it over I’d conserve health potions better...if you barely scrape by an area and use way too much especially late in the game consider trying again rather than just charging forward.
