I hear you with regard to those thoughts about restarting. It has hit me twice lately. I started a game with a Bard, before restarting with a Paladin. I wasn't very far in with the previous game, but the latter had progressed well, until I decided I wanted to be a Fighter/Mage. That was going very well, until I lost interest in the character and shelved the game until such a time as I can make up my mind!

I usually have no such problem. I don't know why this time was so different.

Thief/Illusionist sounds like a great class, and you are quite far in. Have you got Minsc on Two Handed Swords so the Spiders Bane at least finds a good home!

Are you going to recruit Yeslick, in the Cloakwood Mines?

I didn't play Shattered Memories on PSP, but I absolutely loved it on Wii. Looking forward to your impressions.

Wow, you're just ripping through the Wing Commanders! Any chance of burn-out happening? Where will you stop? After 3? 4? or....the movie?

Though to be fair, I watched it in the theater, and really enjoyed the scene where there was a full-on broadside barrage.

I assume Wing Commander 1 still works fine with joysticks? I never had the pleasure of playing that way as I only had the SNES version. Yeah....imagine doing all that on a Super Nintendo controller.

Despite that, I still loved the game.

I plan on it - been looking forward to it for months :D
