If you’re reading this, thank you. My name is Akyrah , this is my Backloggery page. I’ll be keeping track of every game I own, games I've played and or beaten since I’ve created this account, and of course even games I’ve played and or beaten before this account.
I’ll post daily or weekly updates on the games I’m playing at the moment, unless I forget to or I haven’t played any of the games on my now playing tab. Though I doubt the second one. I like to keep the updates very nice and clean since it pleases me to keep my backlog organized. What this means is I’ll usually write out the updates along the lines of something like this : “Pokémon Ultra Moon- Akala Island : Route 8 (Main game)”
Now I’ll try to do this with every game to show how much progress I’ve made, of course it will have a somewhat similar layout but adjusted for that game. If I don’t go into too much detail with a game it’s most likely because I feel like me just saying the name of the place I’m at or the mission name is enough.
I’ve been playing games for a decade or more now, My favorite single player game genres are platformers and RPGs, though I’m discovering more genres I never knew I liked. My favorite multiplayer genres are fighters and shooters, especially fighting games. I like all platforms equally but I’m a bit of a Nintendo fanboy if you want call me that. Though I do like to play on Xbox, Playstation, and Steam.
Now the way I mark my games with the badges does follow the guidelines very similarly but I do have a few differences.
-All collectibles have to be obtained, All endings have been seen, And all characters have been unlocked. Also side quest don’t count to this unless they are needed to unlock a collectible. If you only have to play as one character for the game to consider it 100% I won’t count having the option to play as a second character towards 100% completion. DLC won’t count towards completion. Rankings don’t count towards this either unless there’s a special case. Beating the game on hard mode isn’t needed to 100% either. I find that one a bit silly and a waste of time.
-Final boss has been beaten. Main or first ending has been seen. Seeing the credits roll.
- Used for games that don’t have a traditional ending. Games I have multiple copies of and don’t plan on replaying through it again. This can also apply to games which I have, but don't have the platform to play them on.
From 2019 onwards I've decided that what the most important thing about video games is that I'm having fun, so if I'm not then I'll delete games which I have no enjoyment playing instead of leaving them in my backlog. This way my backlog only consist of games that I enjoy and like and are more likely to finish. This also makes it less stressful for me since I don't feel like I have to play a game just to cross it off my list.
And that should be it for my bio ! Thank you for taking the time to read this. Feel free to add me on Multi Tap, message me, And one day I might be able to beat a majority or all of my games ! Updated 1/1/21
