Poisoned: 3+ new games in a row
Thanks! I doubt it'll last very long at all, but it means I made a smidge of a dent!

It's been okay. The combat is neat in a way, but gets stale to me quite quickly. I would much rather be able to pick my own moves for each character, or not have to worry about them as much a la FF15. I really like the characters in the game; however, I do agree with the story. It hasn't really explained anything yet, and as of right now I think I know more about Fang and Vanille than any other character.

Minion of Bak'laag: 100+ unfinished games
Treasure Hunter: 1000+ games
On Fire: 3 beat or complete in a row
Games like Rime are right up my alley--it's a game that focuses on its story and sense of wonder, with lots of hidden meanings and metaphorical undertones. The gameplay isn't all that inspired, and for many people that will be a turn-off, but for me, I enjoy getting lost in these kinds of games so much that I'm willing to overlook such complaints.

That being said, the game's run performance was downright horrid at times, and that is something I cannot overlook. There were plenty of times where the game engine chugged and the frame rate would drop to, like, 5 frames per second--even during in-game cutscenes, which you would think would have all been prerendered and therefore run the smoothest. And while the game certainly has a nice visual aesthetic, it is by no means a graphically intense game, especially for a modern console, so I truly cannot comprehend why the performance was suffering so much. You certainly can't blame the console--if the Switch can run Doom virtually flawlessly, it should be able to run Rime with its eyes closed. Like you said, it's probably just a poor port that wasn't optimized for the system at all, assuming it didn't run this way on the other consoles as well. Eventually I just learned to live with the intermittent frame drops, but it's still a definite issue.

Pretty awesome finally getting through the Donkey Kong Country SNES Trilogy finally! Now the question is what will we co-op playthrough next? ;

I had that same problem. Back tracking wouldn't be a problem, but you have to go through so many areas just to get to one spot.

Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
I'm am really enjoying Origins. I am in a similar position as you when it comes to the Assassin's Creed series. I'm a big fan of most of them, with Brotherhood and Black Flag being stand outs for me. I have yet to play Unity due to what I've heard about it. It sits on my Backlog so I am eventually going to play it but I will surely have my expectations pretty low when the time comes.

Origins is already becoming one of my favorites and I'm not even that far in yet. I love the added RPG mechanics, slowly Assassin's Creed is becoming an action RPG and I don't have a problem with that one bit! I am excited to continue with it and I am really hoping it continues to be as enjoyable as it is right now. From what I have played so far though, I would recommend you give it another try when you find the time.

Heck yeah! It's been far too long since I've been able to play games with any amount of investment. It was nice to get into it again. Gonna try to do around 2 missions a week, so I don't get burnt out on it.

Octopath Traveler is fantastic! The game is really unique and charming. The game looks amazing, the combat is always enjoyable, and the music is beautiful. This game might just end up being my game of the year! Definitely pick it up when you have the chance!
