Lmao. It's gotta be top 1 for me. They had a perfectly acceptable title format going with the last few games but they went with this beautiful word salad and we're all the better for it.

I've been mostly lucky with finishing long games 10-20 hours before their average length (at least according to how long to beat). Though the tradeoff seemed to be that I spent 30 hours more than usual to beat a single route of FE 3 Houses so I guess it balances out lol.

Xenoblade ended up around 45-50 hours, though that's mostly cuz of them streamlining the exploration and faster loads. They directly point you to where you need to go with pathing on the map! Works for finding collectibles on the ground for sidequests too. Its amazing compared to the shitty arrow thing from the wii version. Sucks to get caught at Lorithia though, that's right at the end. Trash boss fight. I knew of it going into the game so I ended up using an all magic party for 5 hours leading up to that fight just so I wouldn't have to deal with the adds and physical resistances, and even then it was a pain in the ass haha. Everything past her was pretty easy thankfully.

I ended up only putting around 30 hours into Y0, but that was more because I was ravenously going through the main story by around the halfway mark and ended up skimping on the side content. On the other hand I'm like 43 hours into Y7, trying to at least do all the substories and the business minigame. Its fun enough to make me consider doing 100%, but I know it'll be grueling grinding for rare enemy encounters to complete the bestiary so I'm not totally sure on that yet.

Oh yeah, how're you liking Gravity Rush? I played it back on Vita and ended up a bit disappointed with it by the end, despite it having a lot a good qualities. Picking up GR2 has been in the back of my mind, especially since its practically a bargain bin game these days, but remembering some of the annoying fights in the first makes me weary. Liked the open world and gravity shifting quite a bit despite the combat though.

Good to hear about Philly. I went there when I was pretty young, want to say it was one of the first "big" cities I'd ever gone to. It'd be nice to see it again once covid settles down.

Yeah, 2020's been 2020. It was pretty bad here in Portland but I live far enough out from the downtown that there wasn't much trouble in my immediate area. Definitely not a great time to head into the city for fun though lol.

How's stuff been for you? You're in the Philly area right? I imagine stuff there was similar (Portland definitely beats all the competition in media coverage though lol).

Quarantine at the very least gave me an excuse to play through a lot of lengthier games earlier in the year though. Helped to power through Xenoblade in like 2 weeks versus trying to sneak in play sessions during a semester. Meant to get through more of the backlog, but what can ya do. Thanksgiving week gave me the chance to finish Yakuza 0 and start up Yakuza 7 though, and I can already tell I'm gonna be wanting to slack off to play it, haha.
