☆☆★★★ I struggle with how to rate this, but I guess for now I'll leave it at a 3. Such a goofy ass game that doesn't take itself seriously. The closest comparison I can draw is to the Sam & Max games. I enjoyed it a good bit. All of the art looks great. That alone makes it a memorable game. (I mean along with the fact that you literally play as a clam) I do actually look forward to the second game and will probably get it after it comes out.

The Journey Down: Chapter 1
Wasn't going to list the chapters of this game separately, but since I only have this one and the other two are $20 a pop I will.

Updated about 2 days ago

☆★★★★ What's here is well done. Definitely does remind me of old school point and clicks without the irritation that comes with them. I'm not a huge fan of revisiting previous areas to see if anything has changed, but that's a minor complaint. Wouldn't mind seeing the rest of this game. At the price chapters 2 and 3 come in at though I doubt it'll be any time soon. $49 for the entire game is incredibly steep. Even on sale I wouldn't pay more than $20 for the entire thing.

Minit
Went back and completed New game+ on second run. Holy crap getting the grinder was hard.

☆★★★★ Ironically I think the 60 second mechanic isn't really needed. The game could easily stand on it's own without it. Very fun pseudo Zelda type game with interesting little puzzles and a lot of secrets. Definitely going to play new game+ sometime and try to get everything. [After doing second run] I can say the 40 second mechanic makes a huge difference in how the game is played. There are some things you'll do with less than a second to spare.

Pajama Sam Vol. 1: Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside

☆★★★★ Rating it as a game for children. Wanted to play this for some time now. The world is whimsical and suits the theme very well. All the animation is excellent as usual with the humongous entertainment games. I feel like the puzzles in this one could have been a little more interesting, but then again I'm above the target age group.

☆☆★★★ I enjoyed this more than Inanuki Tunnel, but honestly it was a little...boring? You can actually see things so that's nice. Everything's not pitch flipping black like their other games. The face mapping is definitely inspired by Siren. Looks cool. Apparently there was a ghost of a crying woman in the park, but I never saw it. You can hear her crying at each child's house. There's no backstory as to who she is or why offering the windmills at the shrine saves the kids. Still kinda fun tho

Yeah, that's why I have always waited for all the chapters to be out before buying a game like that. That way I know the full cost of the game.

I always wondered what the deal was with The Journey Down. One time Humble gave me Chapter 3 on Humble Monthly. I was so confused...like why would you only give me chapter 3? The game clearly goes together. Idk. It's weird. It's pricing is weird too. Seemed like they were going for the Telltale model, but priced it as if they were all full games.

Minit is such a cool little game. I've always wanted to go back to it on the hard mode that remixes things a bit and I think only gives you 45 seconds.

I didn't read anything you wrote about A Short Hike. Just popped the information down to see what you scored it. I know everyone thinks highly of it and I've been putting off playing it. I'm going to try to play it this weekend and get back to you with my thoughts. I'm guessing it's on the shorter side, so I'm excited. I feel like we rarely get a chance to have game overlap, so I want to take this chance while I can.

Right. That among a few other things. Like how they showed Birkin getting the G-Virus taken. I get they wanted a more realistic shot, but I think a proper cutscene like the original would have been better. They did normal cutscenes other places, so it wouldn't have been out of place.

I don't emulate anything. I don't have anything against it. I just have plenty of games on my plate already. I'm just shocked I was able to find the game, that my DS/GBA are still working, and that I even bothered in general. I'm still looking for my other GBA games. I haven't found a single one except for Rocket Power (which was in the GBA when I found it). They must all me together somewhere, but there is a lot of stuff to go through.

Maybe a couple different factors. It was an early Gamecube game for us, and one of the first that was "your game." It was the first Spyro game we got after Ripto's Rage. It was next gen at the time. Plus, underneath all the frame rate problems, glitches, shoddy movement, and other problems is a decent enough game. Some of the worlds have interesting themes that at least stand out.

I'm playing it because I wanted to check out Hero's Tail really. I hear that one is pretty solid. Figured I'd knock out Enter the Dragonfly before getting into it. I will most likely 100% it since I'm so close now.

I think every single Spyro game I've ever played had UFOs in it.

If you mean the one with the farm level with UFOs that runs at 5 frames a second, then yes.

It's okay. I've slowed down too. I'm on day shift now, so I have more options for things to do. On night shift I basically am either playing games or on youtube.
