It felt pretty good to finally finish it after all this time, I am glad I decided to add my new games to my backlog. It was about time I finished it. Also it was so cool when you get to play as Master hand!.

Any suggestions on what I should tackle next on Switch?

That's my exact issue with DQIII as well! I had to look things up so many times. I only had to consult a guide once for DQII and it was for something dumb I could've figured out (plus a map for the final dungeon, of course). DQII is notorious for being confusing and too open-ended, but that's how I feel about DQIII. I feel like I'm living in some alternate timeline.

One specific thing I remember in DQIII is finding the orichalcum and locating a shopkeeper who will turn it into a sword. But when I talk to the guy, he just acts like any other shopkeeper and doesn't say anything about the orichalcum. I talked to everyone, looking for clues, and nothing. Eventually, I looked at a guide and apparently I had to SELL the orichalcum to the guy, then come back and buy the sword he made from it. WHAT? Why would I even think to sell the precious one-of-a-kind item that I need to progress the game?!
...And I feel like the game was full of moments like these. I mean, I like the game overall, but gosh dang.

Ah yeah, Hunter X Hunter. One of the reasons I first got interested in it is because apparently the manga artist is notorious for going long periods of time without writing a new chapter whenever a new Dragon Quest game comes out because he gets so absorbed in it. I figured a fellow DQ-lover might make a decent manga!

Strike Witches looks promising! Not that I'm complaining, but is there a story-related reason why the characters don't wear pants? Wait, you only started watching Fairy Tail after playing the game first? Was the game good?

The Switch versions of DQ I-III were great! This is as good an opportunity as any to plug my Dragon Quest 1 review since I pretty much say all I can about that game: [Link]
As for II and III, I had a fantastic time playing them. Surprisingly, I fell pretty hard for DQII. I played through most of the game in just one sitting because I was having too much fun and didn't want to stop! It's surprising because I usually only hear bad things about the game. DQIII was also great, but I didn't love it as much as I thought I would. There were a few times where I got completely stuck and had to look things up. And that awful pyramid dungeon probably gave me mental scars. Still great though, overall! Maybe I would've liked it more had I not played it back-to-back with DQII.

I still haven't played VI yet, but I'm looking forward to it. And the 8 hours I put into VII were an exercise in boredom. VII seems to be a love it or hate it kinda game. One day, I'll give it another chance.

I think I'll probably watch the Punchline anime first. I've been trying to get back into some anime-watching anyways. I've been into Hunter X Hunter recently! Such a good show! Still haven't seen Fairy Tail, but it's definitely on my list. There's so much anime to watch; Name any anime and there's a 99% chance I haven't seen it.

Speaking of Ace Attorney, did you hear about that Capcom leak? Apparently an English localization of the two Great Ace Attorney games is in the works for next year! I know I shouldn't get my hopes up, since that could very well just be something they were considering behind the scenes at one point. But I've been dying to finally play those games since they're by Shu Takumi, who wrote and directed the original trilogy!

Ah, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in A Dungeon and Re:ZERO. Two more anime I haven't seen. In fact, I haven't even heard of the latter. I guess that's two more for me to look into!

You chose Deborah! I look forward to making her my wife and seeing what sort of crazy stuff that woman says when I finally get around to replaying it! I just finished I, II, and III for the first time a few months ago. So now I'm replaying IV and I'm just gonna keep going in order. I'm looking forward to replaying V and I've never beaten VI or VII!

Do you think Punchline is better having watched the anime first or d'you think I'd be fine just going straight to the game? Either way, I'm definitely gonna just go ahead and grab it next time it goes on sale.

Yeah, I've gotta get back into Linear Bounded Phenogram. Only one chapter left! It's just that I was playing Ace Attorney trilogy at the same time and I didn't like juggling two different text-heavy games, so I decided to focus on Ace Attorney. I just finished replaying the trilogy for the first time in forever and, man, those games are incredible. Some of the best experiences I've ever had in this hobby! After beating Trials and Tribulations, I wanted more, so I just started the DLC case from Spirit of Justice, since I never got around to playing it back when I beat the game in 2016.

Once I beat that case, I can get back to Steins;Gate. Then play Robotics;Notes Elite... and Punchline... My poor backlog!

Hiya! I see you were playing one of my all time favorite games recently, Dragon Quest V! How've you been enjoying it?
Also, Punchline keeps going on sale on PSN, but I keep skipping out on it. It looks like dumb fun and it has some great talent attached to it (Zero Escape's and Steins;Gate's creators!), so I'm wondering if it's actually any good.

I'm okay. Outside of...well...that thing (but that's something I won't talk about).

I do have that feeling of just wanting to be lazy & put the TV on with no real commitment, which has got my gaming slow down right now. I turn on the Xbox to use the Pluto TV app just to have something to casually watch without commitment (Toku, throwback Nickelodeon shows, or Ninja Turtles). One of those cases of doing just that got me to notice you online.

I've had an Xbox One for about a year. It's never meant to replace my gaming PC, so I don't have regrets getting one. No regrets that I also decided to have a version of Tales of Vesperia DE on XB1 as well as Steam. Interestingly enough, I was able to claim a freebie digital copy of Rare Replay back in 2017 that when I got the system in 2018, I immediately jumped into playing Conker's Bad Fur Day. So yeah, it's great having that for the system (as well as subscribing to Xbox Game Pass).

Yeah, I'm so excited for the new Sakura Wars. I didn't think I'd see the series revived after being late to the party 9 years ago that it became my most anticipated game. There may have been Resident Evil 3 remake, Trials of Mana remake, and even the one everyone's talking about, Final Fantasy VII remake this April. I'm holding off on those three because I'm wanting New Sakura Wars that badly. (Even the fact that I want to play through the original Trials of Mana before I touch the remake is merely a secondary reason.)
