I have not played any over the "Chronicles" games (yet?), I am a bit afraid that they might not be my cup of tea because of the on-rail-shooting. But I've heard they improve the storytelling of the first games a lot...
So I was always tempted, but never tempted enough.

Steve's and Alfred's voice over were ... not my thing. I like some cheese in these games too, but in my opinion it was a bit too much. Still I didn't mind the game overall.

Yeah, let me know what you think of Liberty City Stories once you start it. I played it today and it was nice to play in short bursts.
I don't even know what the problem of the game is, honestly. Maybe it's this weird mix of nostalgia with a new story of something. The characters are not that great... but probably me remembering other characters from GTA3 fondly is also just nostalgia talking. Who knows...

I never played the original Code Veronica, so I really wouldn't know the differences. I can't imagine the game being any different though... it's cheesy as hell.

Sometimes for better, sometimes for worse.

What is your opinion about the game?

Would it be your first time playing Liberty City Stories then? It is mine, and I have to say, I have very fond memories of GTA3, but this game is not really grabbing me, as of yet. The nostalgia feeling is there, but washed down because of the different story, some characters' behaviours, the city design, and the mission design. Also, I got used to the GTAIV controls, and going back to this on the PS2 is hard... I would love to enjoy this game more, but unfortunately I am not.

I hope I'm not discouraging you from trying it out, if it is your first time. It's just my opinion so far, and I'm maybe just under half-way through...

Yes but no. I actually have been back for like the last month or so. Through a bit of motivation, I took upon myself to come back and add the games I haven't added which as you can imagine is alot when you activity stagnates the way it did it with me. While I have been keeping track of what I have beaten in the last 3 years, it hasnt been recorded here and one of the main reasons I decided to come back was to utilize the fortune cookie feature on this site which I think I need for times when I can't decide what to play next so I took a few weeks and for the most part, I have all games added specifically my digital stuff from the store fronts I use. But you're right, Im here just days before my anniversary on this site and boy do I feel old. I still remember when I joined this site I had a measly 24 games in my backlog. Boy that went downhill very quickly after that fact.

We failed our goals but there is still time. I've made it habit to make sure I stick to games I start because I was getting tired of starting up a game and just not play just because and for the most part this year, I have been successful. With that mentality, when I get to MP you bet that it will done and I can finally fulfill the prophecy of me finally playing through MP. As for you, yeah you are behind and Great Ace Attorney comes out next week I believe. Nevertheless, we go this I think

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - Now, this is a real Zelda game. I want to do a replay to refresh my memory so that I can try out a run of randomizer, at some point.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Finished the game at 105 hours with 85 shrines. Undecided on if I'll come back to this, but for now, I'll take a break to play more stuff.
