Yeah! I’m excited for Control, even if we don’t know a ton about it yet. But at this point, I’m on board with anything Remedy decides to make, really.

Yeah, my only real gripe with it so far is that the story is kinda hard to follow, but other than that I'm loving it!

And talking about games we'll never get sequels to...I'm still holding out hope for Alan Wake 2.

No-no, I'm not really a completionist. This is the reason why I can't appreciate most JRPG: they always force you to do side things and I like to do only the ones I feel interested in. So, I'd rather finish the main story of game A, love it and then come back 1 or even more years after and replay it while doing all the extra things on my will, rather than being forced to do it from the start when I don't even know if I will like the game.

And yeah, I only have three platinums out of all my favorite games. And only when I do enjoy doing them. Example: Nioh. To achieve a platinum you need to collect all kodama (little cute creatures), visit every hot spring and of course do all the missions, that kind of thing. I enjoyed every single moment of doing the platinum. Same with Assassin's Creed Syndicate - did all the towers and places because it was a lot of fun to explore the game, every little area felt packed.

So, I have cut parts 4 and 5 a long time ago, and I mean it's not like I ever did platinums to begin with. xD

But yeah, don't get too wrapped in playing many games. Like I said, in one of my previous comments, Shakespeare isn't original. Even Shakespeare's themes were done before him, all he did was retell the stories the way he saw fit, and that's perfectly fine. Every story and type of gameplay have already been told and you're not missing out on anything if you don't play every game that interests you. You just need to search for the experiences that will be most fitting to you, not just "oh, I think gameplay is fun in this one" and such.

My backloggery may not look like it, but I've played so many games... completed and dropped so many of them. Now I really regret that and it is difficult for games to get under my skin. Overheat is something you should be wary of. All you see on my wishlist, for example? I am sure that I'm not going to like at least half of all there is that much... it's just how it is. But there is a chance that amongst all that interests me there will be something that will make me happy, just like all my other all-time favorites did.
It's a journey on which you constantly need to be ready to work to earn your treasure, to explore and to know your strengths!

I saw you're playing Metro with Russian audio. Good job!

Thanks. Though, the game managed to piss me off even more.

Well, I am almost finished, luckily... I love the game but it pissed me off far too much.

By the way, I recently sold my 3DS, too. There wasn't much of a reason for me to have it because 3DS is more for hardcore gamers, the ones who would enjoy digging into lore and mechanics. Most 3DS games are mechanics-based anyways and the only few that I 'd like to play are Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and Phoenix Attorney. Attorney will be out on Steam soon and XC 1 can be finished via emulator. Though, not sure about XC 1 since I didn't like the characters that much when I saw it...

I personally think that it's best to have less games but to have the ones where you want to devote yourself to learn them, not just complete every single thing you are interested in. Each game has its own audience and if you're not a part of it - it is almost impossible to feel much for the story. And gameplay? As much as I love games, gameplay is very similar in most games and you know, there's always a high possibility that the gameplay from a game that isn't for your audience is going to be made into a better game soon.
I had this with The Witcher series. I cannot stand Geralt and the way he acts. But I love the setting of the game and gameplay was nice, I thought. I wanted to force myself to like the game because of its setting but then I found some other games which fit me more with a very similar setting but a story that I like 100 times more.

So, what I mean is that essentially every story is a retelling of the same story, each game takes some elements from that or another game and that's perfectly okay. But my point is that it's best to look out and concentrate on games made for your audience and your interest rather than going on every game out there just because you like one element.
And that's what made me sell 3DS, in a way. I'm really glad I understood this because time is not something one should waste or spend without care.

And yeah, they reduced the price of Vesperia lately. It's 39.99$ The game would feel great on Switch, so you might want to get that one, he-he.

Also I would recommend to play older Tales of titles, too. If you are strong... Zestiria is easy if you buy a speed-up kit. Berseria is easy without any DLC. The rest aren't so easy but I don't, you're probably better than me.
