Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is good. There's nothing particularly noteworthy about it, but I'm enjoying my time with it. It has started to get pretty difficult, once I got to World 3, but it's nothing overly frustrating. Just a few areas where you have to try a few times to get the platforming down right.

The controls feel a little clunky at times, and it seems to lag/slow down at times too (it got a lot better when I turned the graphics settings down a bit, though it's still noticeable every now & then). It's a game I'll probably end up giving a 3/5 when all is said & done.

I wish I could stop crying over Rare... But they keep mentioning a new Banjo, just announced Coker in project Spark today ( which looks awful) and there was footage show from the just cancelled Phantom Dust ( i know Its not Rare but i just hate M$ so much for ruining more and more games!!

Anyway... Nice that you have a copy of the game for Snes then! Reenjoy it then.

0…0; just playing donkey kong 2??!! You really missed playing an awesome game when you were younger, enjoy it, an awesome game from back when Rare was still a good company.

Are there really only 3 Twilight Mirror fragments in TP? For some reason I thought there was at least 6. Maybe I was closer to than I thought before.

It seems like the sticky Genesis slot on the Retron 5 was simply a case of breaking it in. It took much effort to get S3&K out when I played that on it, but today getting S&K (which is the bottom game in the 3&K combo, so it technically is what I got out on 3&K) out, it just kinda slid out.

I really haven't heard many reviews that flat out say avoid it. Most I've read that are down on it are about its tight Genesis slot (which I have a Nomad anyway), and the NES pin thing which I think they fixed, since that was only in a few reviews. Anyway, I've mainly been playing SNES games and GB/GBC/GBA games on it (which the GB slot is designed very well, it's super easy to get stuff in and out). So far, I haven't really had any trouble. I'm told some games wipe the cart's saves and transfer it to the Retron 5, but some of those got resolved in the update, and the others I wanted to start over anyway (SMRPG, EB)

You don't need to max out or even close to beat Sin. One run through the Omega Ruins will give a sufficient power boost to handle anything the Final Aeon can throw at you.

I've gone from "I'm having a grand old time with my replay of FFX!" to .

That's right, I am now at the part where I need to get them butterflies, dodge that lightning, and race that chocobo. To make matters worse, items I need to get in order to obtain sigils for ultimate weapons are locked behind uber-powerful OMG WHAT JUST HIT ME Dark Aeons.

Dark Bahamut did 100k dmg to the whole party as his opening move...I think I need to level up!

I...think so? The statue alone is worth it though, it's been on display beside my PC ever since. The holographic game case is pretty cool too, it goes from Classic Sonic to Modern Sonic. My copy is German. I think I still have the box down in the basement. I still haven't touched the Casino Night DLC...I'm not a big fan of pinball. Oh, and get this, the codes for that and the theme were actually still good, so all I had to do was make a PAL PSN account, and now I have the Sonic Generations theme. Still wish I had that one from Gamestop or whatever.

It wasn't that bad, actually. I'm more depressed over buying a boxed copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga that set me back a good chunk of a paycheck.

Yeah, it's good times. Some of the VA was better in my memory unfortunately, and I a bit mixed on the soundtrack remixing (some pieces are good, some are a bit odd), but it obviously looks amazing and the gameplay still holds up really well! I'm having a blast going back through it, especially with the strict pathing of the original Sphere Grid lifted so I can build my characters however I want!

Really? Ness was already almost level 99 after Magicant without much grinding at all. I guess I did grind some at Lilliput Steps, but that was mainly for Paula's benefit. I just decided to get the rest to 99..but now I have to decide if I want to grind 8 more levels for three people or just fight Gigyas.

This Sega CD isn't new, I got my original Model 2 in 2010. Now I use a Model 2 Sega CD with a Model 1 High Definition Graphics branded Genesis though. Old Sega CD made a constant grinding sound whenever it loaded stuff, also it made a popping noise every few seconds, so I decided to just replace it rather than risk something.

I think I actually enjoyed Parasite Eve more than some PS3 games. I'm sad it's over, but I guess I can always replay it down the line like I do with the classic RE games (mainly RE2 and recently RE1/CV) I have yet to try PE2, but the fact that I've been told it's kinda different kinda bums me out, but I hear it's like a Survival Horror, which might make it better, since I adore the classic RE games.

I'm actually surprised at how fun the Master System version is. It's easily my most played SMS game, even with the Sonic games in my collection. I'm just now starting Phantasy Star after mainly playing Ys on it. I think Ys Origin is a Steam exclusive. Kinda stupid, but whatever, at least I have retrofitters.

I had to replace my Sega CD a few days ago, and the replacement came with a High Definition Graphics branded Genesis. Pretty cool. The Sega CD definitely works way better than my old one did, and both the Sega CD and Genesis look brand new. Also found out my iPod headphones can work on the headphone jack. That's kinda amazing how something works nearly 25 years later, or were there always headphones that used that kind of adapter?
