Yeah, it's a really charming, uplifting and just kind of delightful game. I can get why there's particular expectations, given the name of the game and the premise, but just taking it for what it is I'm really loving it. Class change doesn't make much of a difference (outside of stats and some Carnage Form unlocks), but once you start getting stuff like the Duo Arts and very useful Radiance Unity abilities things get pretty neat.

I'm currently at Chapter 6, not sure how long the game is though. Feels like it's definitely working towards an end point, but then JRPGs sometimes fake you out a little.

I've been enjoying it as a game I can pick up and play for just a couple minutes. I'm up to the final world (17, I think) and each world has 7 levels. The levels range from taking maybe 1-5 minutes, and most are easy. Each world also has its own trick that rarely carries over to other worlds, like electric moving blocks or switch gaps you have to fill. There are some timed and score attack levels you can unlock which seem to be much more difficult, but otherwise it's a fairly simple game. I'm hoping the sequel will build on the first game to be more complex.

I feel like I'm coming across as pretty hard on it here even though I do like it. I'd say it's worth its $5 price.

Also, I think the sequel already came out in Japan. The article I saw said it had been stealth released without any announcement.

It's weird. It's the BEST content of the entire game, but you need a full crew to get it going or it's not worth shit. It's also frustrating trial and error. Even though it's the best content, that's not saying much. The final story missions were pretty bad.

But once you know it you can clear it pretty much in an hour. First try will take three times that though.

Back when Glass was new, the cap was 30.

Crota and it's associated bullshit wasn't out yet, and if you paid actual money for that drop in the bucket at that point, you were beyond saving.

Haha! I know what you mean. For a while there, it sucked up my social life as well. Then I realized I didn't need one. lol j/k. I have found a way to juggle life and the game. I won't say it hasn't been difficult, but I love the series so much and the game brings me a whole lot of satisfaction. That's great because being a hardcore fan of Final Fantasy, I have been pretty disappointed with the games over the past few years, but this one makes all that up.

Black Mages are a load of fun! Best part is the range and immense damage, but you probably know how great ranged characters are from your Bard.

If you think it's bad now, imagine if the only thing getting you progress was the weekly RAID. That took 45 minutes, was cheesy shit, and you had to find a semi-regular group for it. And there was no more grind for bits, only RNG. (instead of RNG AND grind).
