Yes, StepMania. That's my main game for emulating DDR. I'm making a simfile pack en masse, as a matter of fact. As soon as I get another one of those microcontrollers and do some crafting with it, I'll put them up on my backlog and make some progress.

And yes, I really love Rhythm Heaven. I've been itching to get Megamix for a while. But instead of playing Rhythm Heaven Fever, which I currently own, I'm actually playing a hack of it, Rhythm Heaven Fever Repainted, with my Wii hacked and set up to play it. Really good hack.

Other than that, I'm really into the first two RollerCoaster Tycoon games. More specifically, OpenRCT2, as it fixes all kinds of bugs and expands on the experience from the base game. I'm even doing a massive lets-play on it, and I was playing the game really well though the current 50+ episodes of the series so far.

Ha, thanks! I'd love to get a switch now, but of course, I have Christmas to deal with - A burden on my wallet as always.

I would say I was familiar with Taiko no Tatsujin, even though I hardly sampled it on my laptop. What I did a while back was assemble my own DIY drumpad using a microcontroller device. It's hard to explain. But it broke recently so I'll have to get a new one. Speaking of which, the same microcontroller powered another DIY pad from a game I really admire, Dance Dance Revolution. I play it really well and you'll see me go nuts on that down the road.

Hey! I believe I multitapped you a few days back given your affinity for Nintendo stuff, judging by your collection here.

I see you just got Starlink. Funny because I saw a TV commercial of it last night and was quite interested how it's strung on Skylanders rules, except with more customization involved. If you think gameplay and partial innovation is worth the money, let me know! I'm considering getting this game a while after finally buying a Switch come early next year, as I'm planning.

Don't worry, I struggled as much as you did when I had 500 points. I reached 2000 points when I finally understood every mechanic, and I only understood the game completely when I had roughly 10k.
Rosalina players weren't too hard for me as soon as I figured their strategy out. Rosalina is only a threat when she is serving; when I am the server, I can easily abuse Bowser's power to keep stunning her until she inevitably fails to return a ball, all while I quickly build up energy while she barely gets any. Also, I noticed that when most Rosalinas serve, they mostly to slice (blue) serves and aim at a corner, hoping that I either miss the ball or do a weak return, after which they can do a full charge shot and score a free point. So, I could just predict the direction of their serves (or just reach the ball anyways, since Bowser's reach is surprisingly big), move there beforehand and being charging a shot. I gain a bit of energy, and in most cases, that move almost completely stops Rosalina's offense power while I start to set up mine. But yeah, the first match I did against a Rosalina was... very one-sided.
I found skilled Waluigi and especially Chain Chomp players much more difficult to defeat, since those two characters have a much easier time countering my own powerful shots, and aren't either too slow or too weak. Those two characters gave me the closest and most rage-filled matches.

Good. I'm closer to competion than I expected, thankfully. There's too many Moons to collect in Odyssey for my tastes.

I thought Odyssey was awesome, just like you did. I had a blast playing through it so far, save for a couple Moons which irritated me. I think it tops Galaxy 2, which was my favorite Mario game before Odyssey.
I'm not really overwhelmed, but I'm just... surprised. Turns out the post-game is significantly bigger than what I imagined. Those lunar blocks contain ~150 Moons in total, while I thought each block was gonna be just one Moon at first. I didn't expect to unlock THREE new kingdoms. I didn't foresee achievements Moons of sorts either, some of those will take a while.

Oh, good to know. Not sure if I'll mark it after the second year, it seems a spot too arbitrary. I will likely leave it as I did with New Leaf.

Yeah, I noticed. It's surprising how addictive Stardew Valley is so far, and I've only played for ~3 hours yet. I can easily see myself being hooked by this game for quite a while and possibly playing for as many hours as I played Splatoon if I decide to go for 100% for whatever reason.
BTW, do you know if there is any ending of sorts in the game? I marked it for now, but I want to be sure I won't miss it as I play.

I know, I'm a monster! I was absolutely certain that the Goomba and Koopa amiibos were gonna be released on Odyssey's release, alongside Mario, Peach and Bowser in their wedding costumes. I double-checked online and realized I got that wrong, but by then, I had already left the video games store and was well on the way back home (it takes 1 hour to get there, BTW - I didn't have time to go back). I'll buy it when Odyssey releases, and pray to God they don't run out of stock in the meantime.

Dang, I haven't ever gotten remotely close to 300%, but I can imagine how unforgiving it is. I saw some gameplay at 345%. ( [Link] ) I guess it's doable if there aren't any players that barely know what to do (like me ). Congrats. I spent a significant amount of time just to get back to Profreshional (the max rank). I kept on playing with somebody that was particularly afwul and barely did anything to help us, so it took a while. I think I'm getting slightly better now, but I feel like I'm always getting targeted by 3 bosses at once, or ganged by 10 of the normal fishes as soon as I run out of ink. I wish equipment had some effect in SR, I could sure use Ink Saver for less ink consumption.
What a coincidence, I ran into a squid party today too! I took some snaphots, but they're all blurry because I had to take them with my tablet's camera (I can't transfer them to PC). Hopefully you can tell what's going on. (There's 5 of them) [Link] I saw two people hanging out togheter at the side of the map and I decided to join in the fun. Sadly no one else did, and they just kept on killing us. I got a couple amusing matches out of this, though, and it was a nice change of pace.

Really? Because as anybody who ever studied or practiced gastronomy could tell you, mayonnaise is so much better than ketchup that there shoudn't be a comparison.
You can put ketchup on fries, hot dogs, and hamburgers. That's pretty much it.
Mayonnaise on the other hand can compliment many dishes, can be used in different salads as either a dressing or the main thing that holds the stuff together (in the case of a potato or corn salad), it makes almost any sandwich 10 times better instantly, and can be made at home very easily in a few minutes.

Sure, I think many children are playing the game, and they might prefer ketchup because it has a stronger flavor and it's also kinda sweet, but that can actually be a bad thing except if you want your whole dish to taste like ketchup.

Anyway... I don't have the game sadly, but I'm definitely rooting for team mayo, and it should definitely have much more votes if it's really that unpopular right now.

Yeah, it's a shame you can't play with friends unless you make a team of 4. The normal Friends option doesn't seem to work.
I did way worse instead. My connection was plagued with errors and disconnects for some reason, so I could only finish 1 match every 10 minutes. And I lost 12 out of 20. Honestly, I thought I did decently, often getting over 900p - it's either my teammates that can't keep up, or as you said, the enemies which are always better than you. Or, y'know, they just have 3 Aerosprays while your team has none. The worst moment was when I broke into the enemy base in the port stage multiple times, but nobody ever followed me (despite spamming "Come with me!" ). I guess I'll get the max rank tomorrow with a more refreshed mind.
BTW, what is your strategy for the new stage? I'm terrible at it, I always get cornered and die. Nothing I do seems to be an effective strategy.

That seems pretty exciting, I've never heard of anything similar to that. I would totally take part to such an event if it happened near my town.
OK, I'll be waiting. Do you know if you can just join in my lobby, or do I have to quit and create a new team first?
I'm jealous. Interestingly, my record of ~1350p happened on that stage too. Maybe it's the biggest one in the game? The fact that the opponents kept on making new ink to cover definitely helped.
While we're talking about records, I thought I might as well share this: [Link] I got an insane amount of kills in this match. Sadly we still lost, I think ended up being something like 44% vs 46% for them.

I had a couple matches where exactly that happened, but the camping team (we) won them both. If the enemies only realize they can do that at the end of the match, they won't make a clutch comeback.
Oh, that sounds like fun. (at least based on what I understood with Google Translate) It sounds like a race in Mario Kart Wii in which everyone uses that duck bike to me.
I think I'll start playing very early. I might even begin before the Splatfest starts to play some Salmon Run. What time do you think you'll start playing? Just asking because I want to take some short breaks to avoid becoming too worn out, and it would suck if you start playing right as I'm resting.

Don't worry, I'm used to taunts by now. I do it all the time.
Yeah, at that point I gave up on everything. You killed me just because I didn't see the bomb you threw quickly enough. That's a weakness I have, actually - for some reason I can't tell if any bomb I see is my team's or the enemies', or sometimes they just blend in so well I can't even see them.
Well, today I played again with a more refreshed mind (I was tired yesterday)and I don't know if I should be disappointed or happy. I lost 7 matches in a row, AGAIN, and it's very frustrating. However, most of the time I did lead my team's way, often getting near the enemy's base first and claiming it. But after dominating the first half of any given match, everything goes horribly wrong in the stupidest of ways. Sometimes, right after I die and before I respawn, my WHOLE team gets annihilated after getting stage control, and then we just lose because I have nowhere to jump to.
I look forward to the splatfest and playing with you. Maybe I'll actually manage to do something.

So today was THE worst day I've ever had in Splatoon. An endless shower of losses that brought my weapon's "rank" from roughly 10 to 2, some very sloppy play both me and my temmates had, and my Internet booted me off every 15 minutes. So often, I even got banned now (for 5 mins, but still). It's never happened before. I feel like an useless noob now.
I have played way more games than you see here. I merely started keeping track when I made my Backloggery account.
