Hi, Mara. How goes the NES playing?

I'm still playing NES here and there, but I'm focusing on other games. When I'm not playing anything on the system in particular, I like to load up Star Force, Tengen Tetris, Qix, BurgerTime, and Trog. Butcha know, October is coming up, which is the anniversary of the US release date. Perhaps I should see if I can play a lot. There are a couple of NES games on other systems I could play, like on NES Online or something like the Double Dragon and Kunio Retro Brawler Bundle. Although I also have long games like Faria, Dragon Warrior III, and Wizardry: The Second Scenario. This is how one begins to feel overwhelmed and isn't sure of what to do, but it's an idea.

I've seen Slayers. It rules.

There was a Gradius OVA? I'd no idear.

While not based on a game, I'm gonna be watching some Captain Tsubasa 1983. The Tecmo games are great and I'm going through them again right now. Well, the US version without the CT license and then CTII. You should totally check them out, they are soccer games like no other, and I really hope the upcoming Captain Tsubasa game will satisfy, even if it's not made by Tecmo.

The fact that I have it! (Even if it's a reproduction, but it the case, book, and disc look so close to the real thing...) Joking aside, I'm loving the style and narrative, it really brings out that early CD console style.

I'm not a Metal Gear fan, so this could end up being my favorite Kojima game.

Moon Crystal. I remember reading abrat that on NES Player. Impressive story scenes. Didn't get very far into it. Maybe I should look into playing it again somehow.

Last month I replayed a few NES games. Ya missed that. I played the first two Zeldas, Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II, Gargoyle's Quest, Willow, Xexyz, and half of EarthBound Zero, The Magic of Scheherazade, and Faxanadu. It was pretty great. Hopefully I can get back to NES playing soon, but now I'm taking it easy with more Super Mario Maker 2.

I've also been watching Daniel Ibbertson. He's pretty cool. I wouldn't mind meeting him at a convention. Well, if I happened to be in the UK. [Link]
