At this point I've annihilated entire generations of Archwings, all in the name of love and honor...and supper. I'd probably appreciate them more if they maintained any sort of bite, but as is they're more tanky than they are dangerous (Nest Wardens in particular can be, but you get Air Shield and it's back to just bumrushing them with All Attack formation for a million turns). At least Shadow Giants warrant my respect somewhat, but they're just so rare ;-;. I do recall later game enemies being a bit nastier, but that might also have been me being poorly setup for later game during my original run so I'll have to see once I clear out the temple ruins at the Boiling Sea.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth just seems like every other game out right now, just FFVII themed. I saw a comment on here that was like "What was once a three screen cave is now an hour long dungeon." Sounds like it's as bloated as Peggy Bundy's mother. But, what do I know? I don't got a PS5, but it's interesting seeing somebody on here who's played it and feels critical of it.

Well I knew of the Rocket Town omission and seem to have very correctly assumed they're probably gonna tackle that all in part 3, but damn I didn't realize they messed with his character that much. Surely they have some sort of idea or even payoff for this character, even if it ends up being a notable deviation from the original. Your comment about things being understated getting overblown/overindulged reminds me of what people told me how they handled Midgarsormr (formerly Midgar Zolam) and how very...annoyed I was. I've deliberately held off on getting Rebirth for a variety of reasons (getting ready for Emerald Beyond being the big one), but just based on what people have told me some of my concerns I had over Remake seem unfortunately justified. I just hope it's not to any significant degree that ends up turning me off from the final part, but I'll definitely have to heavily temper my expectations here.
