We lucked out on three titles today at our gamestop "buy two, one for free" sale! I'm still missing Rorona, Meruru and Shallie. The first two is probably gonna have to go on online. I'm just super glad we're catching them now. I can't wait to play these. I'm stupidly hyped for all sorts of alchemy and collecting fucking items for this shit. OCD in me is going nuts.

NEAT! I'll keep that in mind. I plan on just skipping the VITA titles (too many reasons I won't get into) for vanilla ps3 copies and just stick to the mainline series. I already have all the ps2 games. I also got gifted a PS4 first Dusk of the trilogy. My husband is now looking into getting all of the games for me. I'm super excited. Hope he doesn't have too much of a hard time finding them.

Also I just realized where your avatar came from! Its so cute!!! <3

Hey there! How are things going?

You likely won't remember it but a long while ago I asked you if you'd recommend the "Assassin's Creed" games.
Well I finally got around to them and have finished the first two games so far.
They've been really fun (some issues aside) and I just wanted to thank you, since it was your reply back then that actually got me interested in these games.

Whew, thanks! I didn't want to like spoil myself to completion with this game. The first Nier was relatively easy in this regard.

K cool, you completed Nier: Automata. Now I gotta know, I've heard from my hubby that there's literally 26 endings. How do you KNOW to achieve those endings without reading up on a faq?

Aw that's such a shame Atelier Sophie is such a disappointment especially as the previous ones like Escha & Logy and Shallie were such wonderful additions to the series (and my personal favourites!) I'll still play Sophie as I like to support the series fingers crossed Atelier Firis is a better game.

Haha thanks! Maybe one day I'll it but for now I have to tackle the rest of my immense Backlog

So I noticed your updates on Atelier Sophie were... less than enthusiastic. As someone who like I said didn't play it yet, but always enjoyed the series I'm kinda curious.
Would you care to elaborate on that? (or if I got that wrong, tell me how I completely misunderstood you, I suppose )

Congratulations on ing Horizon.
empty, soulless worlds, repetitive tasks and huge amounts pointless collectibles are indeed a problem in open-world games. Considering all the Assassin's Creed games you've played, you sure have a good amount of experience with that. I've played Far Cry 3 and it's the same. Ubisoft really seems to love creating these kind of games...
Good to hear that in Horizon's case the game still turned into a really enjoyable experience, I will definitely keep it in mind and get it myself at some point.

Congratulations on ing Ratchet & Clank as well... I guess...
Shame to hear that that one turned out the way it did.
But hey! More Atelier! That's always a good thing in my book. Haven't played or purchased any PS4 entry yet, but here's hope that it has the same Atelier charm.

And good luck on your quest of making sense and fully understanding the universe created by Yoko Taro. I'm not even sure if he still has the full grasp of it himself at times.

Oh I had no idea it had free roam after the finale! That's kind of a relief really as part of me wants to just finish the main story right now. When Sylens pretty much tells you 'Hey wrap up anything you need to do' I was 'OH NO THAT SOUNDS SO FINAL, OK be right back' and now I'm trying to do the last of the Corrupted Zones.

I've heard really good things about NieR: Automata but I definitely recommend playing Uncharted 4 when you get the chance it's such a great game. I still need to play Atelier Sophie (I bought it but I got distracted ) let me know what it's like as I totally trust your judgement on Atelier games

I can totally get why you played it so much though! I keep going back to it and playing it way longer than I intend to and then I'm like 'Oh its really late' The setting and storyline is super compelling and I really wasn't expecting to like it as much as I have. Those overriding Trials are the exact ones I'm avoiding! I also need to grab the last power cell

I've been really enjoying exploring and collecting, usually I can find that pretty tedious in a lot of games, the sheer scale of the map does initially make it a pretty daunting task. With any luck I'll at least it by the weekend! Pretty good game to start your PS4 collection with Are you going to play Atelier Sophie after Ratchet & Clank?

Ooh, I see you made the jump to the PS4. Welcome to the family. haha.
You've got a pretty nice line-up already.
How are you liking Horizon so far? It looks like a really beautiful and interesting game. (Though open-world games can be deceiving sometimes.)

Oh and speaking of your line-up. If you enjoy the NieR games, you might want to look into the Drakengard series. Part one and two are on the PS2 and part 3 is on the PS3. They're related to the NieR games, in fact the first NieR is based on one of the endings of the first or second DG. The PS2 games certainly look and feel dated by now, but I know that things like that usually don't bother you too much. Anyways, just wanted to give you a pointer in case you may care.
