I agree with most everything you said in regards to the game, and the medium needs more experiences like that (showing over telling, embracing inherent strengths of the interactive nature of gaming, rich subtext). I just don't hold it in as high of esteem nor did it affect me in the sense that I can't help but gush all over it. :3

Demon's Souls, on the other hand...

I'd beaten it a long time ago actually, I just noticed that I forgot to mark it down until last night. But yeah, Flower is a good game, I just didn't see Buddha or anything like that while playing it.
