☆★★★★ Short Answer: RNG will make or break you. Long Answer: If you're wanting to play this game in the mind set of desiring to level up all your characters then you're going to have a bad time. This game was designed in the notion that you will take specific party combinations to beat the game multiple times. It never really occurred to me once I realized the use for limited support conversations you can have. Also you will learn a lot about each character's stat discrepancies i.e. weak=strong.

Ok, so I've had a very disruptive 2016 whereas 2017 has been somewhat the same but managing to play what I can here and there. I managed to complete some of the games off my last list in 2016 so I'm grateful for that. So a little about the games I did beat:

Mighty Switch Force 2 was just as good as the first and if I say so, quite tougher in the puzzle department. I was trying to go for a completion but couldn't quite crack the last few levels. I did enjoy the 'find the baby' challenge. I felt that was an incentive for you to explore the level more in turn making it easier to complete the stage. When I have some spare time I will definitely go back for the completion.

Bugs vs Tanks was surprisingly an enjoyable game but nothing more than that. I think it's charm came from the handful of characters that followed you through your campaign and finding and customizing your tank. The nothing more came from the fact that it didn't matter what difficulty level you played the game at; it would play out the same and give no other incentive to rewards and replay value.

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 was a no brainer. Great game to play and to go back to this gem was nostalgic. Timeless classic.

Super Mario Bros. Deluxe was also a going back to my childhood days. I remember getting this for Christmas in a 'multipack' which also had Shadow Gate and Wario Land 2. I just did a standard run to the end not being too fussed about finding all the red coins and the yoshi egg in each stage.

The rest of the games I didn't invest much time other than Kirby and Mario vs Donkey Kong (drip-feed). About half way through these now. Though I did manage to sporadically start playing others that I had yet to put on my list in and around 2016-17. These were Excave II ~Wizard of the Underworld~, Toki Tori, Fire Emblem, Super Smash Bros., AiRace Speed, Minecraft and even LBX: Little Battlers eXperience.

Finally to update my list. Nothing much will change other than putting up games I am playing now. Minecraft is about half way, just need to get a brewing potion set-up to enchant my shit to get to the end and beat the dragon. Fire Emblem is a game I have beaten already but not in Hard Mode; which I'm currently doing for a completion (currently on Hector's quest). And lastly Pokemon Black going through it slowly as a part of my ultimate pokemon completion quest XD.

Anyway, just a quick belated revision update! I decided to throw in some games I somehow started to get invested into my 2 empty slots and change one other. Mighty Switch Force 2 seemed to be a no brainer to start completing since I finished the first one a while ago. Bugs vs Tanks was just sitting there, so thought I'd try to at least finish one of Level 5's games. Mario vs Donkey Kong was lastly put up there because 1. I've never got to play it/own it back then and because 2. it was a part of the 3DS ambassador promo. By the time I decided to post this up I've beaten a few that are currently on the list, which I'll leave it for the next update and discuss further on those games via my experience.

So above is the new list. The 3 new entries I've already started to play. And I've left two slots blank for the time being as I don't see myself playing anything until further notice. I've played and beaten Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 before (on a friend's Game Boy brick and copy, because I was too poor back then to own one in my primary school years) but wanted to go back and do a proper run collecting all the treasure and money this time. I'm finding SpeedX3D to be quite a hypnotic and relaxing game. I feel as if I'm playing something from the marble madness world with techno/trance club music. Lastly Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, I have the original on my Game Boy Color, and I've beaten it but thought I'd try the 3DS version. I don't think I'll try and go for unlocking all the extra content i.e. finding the red coins, yoshi eggs etc since I'm sure I did all that on my original *takes a look*. Happy just to beat the game twice plus the controls are horrible on the launch 3DS. That D-pad is pretty shit. XD

10. Kirby's Adventure [Wii U VC:NES]

So yehhhh, been awhile but have been trying to keep video game busy. I've managed in Animal Crossing: New Leaf 3DS to not only do the stock standard of paying off my mortgage but also accomplish the perfect town status. I would still like to go back into the game and finish up some loose ends which shouldn't take long with the help of time traveling which I think my villagers were starting to notice (after I played it legit trying to get the perfect town status :P). Pokemon White Version DS was an interesting affair, finding the journey to be quite a short one excluding the extra shit there is after the main game. Will also need to go back to this game for the loose ends, one being to defeat the Elite 4 at Lv70. I can finally say I've at least beaten Fire Emblem GBA completely through to Hector's quest. I don't know why I left it for so long but I'm glad I came back to it and beat it. I figured the reasons for this were due to my stubbornness in trying to level up every character as opposed to a select few which made it ever more difficult for me to progress further in the game. Now that I have a clear mind and an objective approach I'll beat the game on hard mode in my backlog background which shouldn't take long so I can score myself a complete. Not much to say about Super Smash Bros. 3DS other than it's a straightforward process of beating the game with every character. Again, a game with the side stuff I'll just have to chip away at when I have downtime. Now the rest of the games I have on my list were left idle and found myself playing Mighty Switch Force! 3DS. Really enjoyed this platformer. Tight controls, perfect amount of difficulty and frustration to pleasurable and achievable goals. Despite it being a short game, I'm glad some fan service was put in there for the hardcore completionist .

So 3 new games to take the place of the last 3 finished ones. And right now, I'd say 75% of my time is going towards Animal crossing New Leaf. This is so I can actually beat/complete before I can never go back to it, and it seems I'm doing very well! I started the game around November and up until now I'd say I'll have a beat status once I pay the last bell off my entire house. But what I want most is to actually complete the rest of the nuances in the game which again, I am getting there, I think part of the easiness in getting there is due to a mixture of how much fucking money you can rake in and the speed at which you can. Time Travelling is on the cards if I want to complete the game quickly, but since I'm currently on the perfect town run, that can wait. Also I'm going hard core with a master run and not using the beautiful ordinance.

Pokemon White Version I started back in 2011 and only obtained 2 Gym badges. The last 2 weeks I've managed to get my 8th badge. Is it just me or is this game a short game?

Super Smash Bros 3DS pretty much done in like a week. It's not complete by any means, there's still trophies to collect and completing the board thing. Shouldnt be hard getting back into it, since I've yet to start my Wii U version.

Anyway, happy with my progress and looking forward to 2015.

Ok so basically I completed the last 3 games (shown in red) before 2014 was out (technically also beat ssb3ds but I'll leave it). Super Mario Land 2 - 6 Golden Coins was a fun quick game while it lasted, since I never finished it before I was trying to find on the net regarding the completion no. of all secret stages completed. I should've known the last stage doesn't register.

Asphalt 3D I found to be an actually decent game until I unlocked the Ducati, and holy crap did I cruise through the broken game mostly using the bike. Steel Diver: Sub Wars, I stopped after I completed the main missions. Regarding multi, I got up to Lv. 37-40. I don't think I'll be coming back to it unless I vs via people I actually know.

Finally thought I beat Fire Emblem [Nintendo DS], but then realised I still had Hector's quest. So off I go with that. This time, I'm not touching Erk and going to hand pick a few as my mains this time round.

Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition [Nintendo 3DS] is basically beaten now. I've played through all characters to the end. I know there's a few things to collect/unlock but find it to be not worth it; both in enjoyment and ending up with a broken 3DS. Online is horrible, and I don't really have any friends I know who are playing this online right now, let alone trying local matches. I know someone's modded their 2DS that connects a gamecube controller which I wouldn't mind looking into.

Street Fighter has now been replaced with Metroid [Nintendo 3DS:VC], which I can say I have settled in nicely after youve obtained a few items to be able to stay alive.

Advance Wars Days Of Ruin [Nintendo DS] as said in my last post, an amazing game. Definitely happy to go back and try and achieve as many S ranks as possible. But now it will be replaced with Pokemon Link Battle! [Nintendo 3DS:DL]. I haven't really progressed much in this game, and thinking I might burn slowly through it for now.

Kirby's Adventure [Wii U VC:NES] is going strong. I'm up to level 4. There seems to be a lot of easter eggs and extra unlocks to achieve which is interesting.

RE: the rest of the games.I tried getting back into Tales and realised I've pretty much forgot where I left off. So I'll need to rack my brain a bit. Aero and Sims haven't got my much play time. Though that may change soon.

Oh and one last thing, found that Renegade Kid updated Mutant Mudds [Nintendo 3DS:DL] and decided to go ahead and do everything; the extra levels, and even grab those medals while I'm at it. I'll add and cross it off in my next update.

I saw the sale and said stuff it, and purchased the premium version of Steel Diver: Sub Wars [Nintendo 3DS:DL]. This game has stolen many hours off me already and I refuse to put it down. It's so addictive. Everyone says the franchise has been pushed to a better/appropriate direction, which I can agree, but that's not to say the side scrolling method was bad, If anything, it's the new approach they took in the control scheme of it's successor that should've been implemented in the first place. So I do hope, we see both version of the game being made in similar fashion to 2D/3D Mario games.Technically all this really is, is an online multiplayer with a progressive stat based system to extend the the life of the game by unlocking extra content as you level up; very similar to GoldenEye 007 [Wii]. There are missions (only 7) but feel they're used more as training exercises. I'm currently at Lv.31 and settled with a King Sardine. Is there anyone here that plays this too?

I didn't realise how quick Super Mario Land 2 - 6 Golden Coins [Nintendo 3DS:VC] takes to complete after deciding to add to my new list. I've only got one more world to go before facing Wario/Wario's world.

Asphalt 3D [Nintendo 3DS] is another new entry I've added. I think I've had a long enough break to get back into a racing game. Seems like this game looks meatier than the 3DS Riiiidge Racer.

Edge [Nintendo 3DS] is also another new game onto the list where I've now beaten and I'm close to completing. This is a must have for any 3DS user. Probably one of the few puzzle games where it doesn't get monotonous. You'd think it would fall in that trap but it doesn't, and awesome to see so many level arrangements cleverly designed. Speaking of design, I would love to see a sequel where there is a level editor; it's only the natural progression. If there were faults in the game, one would be for framerate slowdown, especially in the more hectic levels and if anything else, a lack there-of multiplayer.

I am up to the last Chapter for Fire Emblem [Nintendo DS], I actually beat the game, BUT one of my Mages died on the scene and decided to soft-reset. So I'll have to re-do it before signing it off as beaten. I'm not sure what happens after this, I'm assuming there's an extra mode of some kind to beat? ..and if you wanna know who that mage was.

It was this guy *mofo* Erk!

Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition [Nintendo 3DS] is my next 3DS game to beat. Because I found that this game WILL DESTROY my 3DS, I've decided to just do as much as I can without breaking my analog stick/d-pad. Online battles are a far cry sadly due to the lag and has anyone tried pulling off some of the combos? It's BS unless you want to break your 3DS.

I secretly went and played Advance Wars Days Of Ruin [Nintendo DS] and like Ace and Edge I will cross it out as beaten in my next update. This game was awesome and nostalgic for me. Great to see how Intelligent Systems could freshen the AW world with a different take. I was quite surprised at some of the plot turns in the campaign story. The only regret I have is not playing this game sooner before Nintendo decided to switch off it's online servers.

Kirby's Adventure [Wii U VC:NES] fills the last spot. For now it'll give me a reason to turn on my Wii U for short burst after checking the eshop etc. The rest of the unmentioned games are temporarily inactive.

10. Kirby's Adventure [Wii U VC:NES]new!

Being a long time since my last post, I'm happy to return with an update. Anyway, Steel Diver [Nintendo 3DS] is finally beaten. I still think the game was decent but not terrible. The only 2 gripes I had with it, were that the game felt so clinical and the most important one was the lack of control options. i.e. using the stylus kinda felt counter-intuitive. After beating all the missions, it unlocked expert mode. Not sure whether I'll come to it right now, but it's tempting for a completion tick.

I'm finally hitting the Mk4 list! Might be a good idea to finally *properly* start the series with it's first game, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney [Nintendo DS]. I've actually completed this game just last night actually, so I'll cross it off in my next update. I really enjoyed the game as a whole in regards to all of it's elements coming together i.e. characters, story, music. The game wasn't generally difficult but made for some frustration when you had to do certain actions at certain times, it made things worse when your brain can already piece things together but can't go ahead due to the simulated compulsory progression of the story.

Due to living a busy lifestyle I finally got around to updating my backlog progress. Despite trying to stick to the 10 games, I couldn't help but play more. Though really, I'm technically just switching games, and in retrospect, I've noted in most importance that I'm making actual progress. The games crossed out in red are freshly beaten games. However Gunman Clive [3DSDL] I'm happy to put it as completed with all 3 Characters done. I'm not sure whether I'll be going back to this unless I feel like competing in speed runs with fellow gamers here. Meteos [DS] was beaten pretty quick to my surprise, then again, quite the addictive game, especially with it's soundtrack of awesome music. Seems like this game to meet completion means a lot of grinding and unlocking, so I'll chuck it in the pile of short-burst-of-replay-games-to-be-completed. Pokemon FireRed [GBA] was clocked just as fast when I did LeafGreen, in fact I'll probably have the pokedex for both complete very soon. Last beaten game is Powerstone Collection: Powerstone [PSP], which was an awesome game to play all up. I think I'm missing 2 unlocks but still not sure whether playing the game's sequel is apart of unlocking it. As shown above, I've switched out 3 former games for 3 fresh ones, and I can say that 2/3 of those new games are about cooked through. Lastly, there's obviously some games not registered in my main list, as portrayed in my backloggery account pic above. But just showing some of the games brewing in the background. I think operating this way has made it a lot easier for me to make progress. Happy gaming peeps!

UPDATE (PART 3)

Steel Diver [3DS] will replace Wario WarioWare Inc [GBA], I've dived into it a little already (no pun intended). Seems pretty straight forward but very sterile in design. Meteos [DS] replaces Ridge Racer [3DS], and as soon as I put on the game and check the stats I notice the last time I played it was like 5-6 years ago for only a few minutes. Crazy stuff. This game is so damn good. The soundtrack and gameplay are unbelievable.

Pokemon Fire Red Version [GBA] I've managed now to get as far as the Elite Four and only 25 pokemon left to obtain a complete Kanto Pokedex. Because I'm on a quest to complete all my copies with a complete National Dex, I'll do it outside of the list after I beat the Elite Four and call it beat.

Tales Of Phantasia [GBA] is basically dead on progress but I've left here for now. I don't necessarily want to swap a half finished game, especially RPG games, ugggh. Madden NFL Football [3DS] Finally got my team to victory, all to be left with a picture congratulating me and that's it. There's nothing else to do with the game.

The Sims 3 [3DS] will replace Madden NFL Football [3DS]. I've actually gotten quite deep into the game. I chose the military career due to previous Sims history. Gunman Clive [eShop 3DS] replaces the empty slot I left last time. Thought I could add something for short bursts.

UPDATE (PART 2)

Finally was able to obtain the last parts in Mario Kart 7[3DS] I think the only thing left for me to beat are the expert Staff Ghosts in Time Trials. But I'll do that in my spare time and as it's removed from my list (finally). Powerstone Collection: Powerstone [PSP] will replace Mario Kart 7 [3DS]. Since it's a collection. I'll start with one and see how I go. Basically from what I know, it's basically Smash Bros.

Pokemon Pinball [Game Boy Color] hasn't seen much play and much progress either. I may just be happy when it comes to beaten status for now. Nintendogs daschund & friends [Nintendo DS] seems to have opened another black hole of unlocking. Which I will pass considering it would be near impossible as I don't have all the versions and nobody near to trade locally. It's worse than Pokemon I tell ya. But I have grinded to unlock more homes and most likely will do until I've got the general unlocks (that are possible to get) and competitions beaten before I move on.

Animal Crossing: Lets Go To The City [Wii] I've made significant progress! Finally got a 'perfect town' and now starting to pay for the development of the extra bridge and so forth. I'm not sure if I've paid my whole mortgage off yet but until that is complete and getting the fountain I'll put it as beaten status soon. I would like to complete it though.

So Mario Kart 7[3DS] has been finished, however I've been sooo close into unlocking the last kart items. After that, I can finally put it aside. Time trials might get some love for the sake of a log). Nintendogs daschund & friends [Nintendo DS] is also somewhat close to being completed; it's just a huge time burner trying to complete certain things; one of them being money to unlock residency and that stupid obedience competition. I forgot to mention in my previous update that I clocked Ridge Racer [3DS], and it sure was a damn fun game. Despite being a launch title I would love to see a sequel on the 3DS utilising a lot of the things they missed first time round. Also holla to the ending theme music, so freakin' dope. Pokemon Fire Red Version [GBA] is pretty much my main staple at the moment. Only 30hrs in and I'm up to Giovanni's Gym with a decent Lv45 team and 2/3 of my pokedex complete. Madden NFL Football [3DS] is nearly clocked. I'm up to the play-offs with the Redskins now, and seeing as I finished 1st on my division should be a walk in the park to get the lombardi trophy. Animal Crossing: Lets Go To The City [Wii] unfortunately has been put off for now, that also includes Pokemon Pinball [Game Boy Color] and Tales Of Phantasia [GBA]. But at least I made some significant progress on Animal Crossing that now should make it easier to wrap things up when I return to it. WarioWare Inc. [GBA] I'm still progressing through the mini game high-scores.

Here's my new list. Nonetheless still the same list but I've added 2 games to the fray, Tales Of Phantasia [GBA] and Madden NFL Football [3DS]. I did say in my last update that I would keep the last 3 slots vacant...but I guess that changed. For some reason I needed an outlet to finish some games that were on my mind. And that game was Tales Of Phantasia [GBA]. That game has been sitting in my collection of GBA games for yeeeeears and I finally took the courage to start on it. I only added Madden NFL Football [3DS] because the game really is a shallow content of a game. I believe the only thing playable as a campaign is the Season selection. So I'm just going to pick my relatives' favourite team the Redskins and hit them up for a win at the Superbowl.

To more interesting matters, I was secretly playing Mario Kart 7 [3DS] around the time of my MK1 List. For now, to sum up Mario Kart 7 in regards to difficulty, I personally believe it is the easiest Mario Kart in the series. I actually have yet to start Fire Red version [GBA], because atm I am frustratingly pissed off at capturing 2 safari pokemon; Chansey ans Tauros on LeafGreen version [GBA]. To make matters worse my LeafGreen version has just lost it's battery to recognize time. Basically need to capture a few pokemon needed for pokedex completion. WarioWare Inc. [GBA] I didnt realise that I just had to complete one more mini game tower to beat the game. So now just trying for a completion by unlocking and beating all the mini game high scores. Animal Crossing: Lets Go To The City [Wii] I have fallen behind due to the follow up to Christmas and new years. I need to back track from November through to December and try to at least have it on beaten status. Nothing new with Pokemon Pinball [Game Boy Color] and Nintendogs daschund & friends [Nintendo DS], they're pretty much on the back-burner.

Mk1 List

01. Final Fantasy II: Dawn of Souls [Game Boy Advance]
02. Pokemon Pinball [Game Boy Color]
03.Nintendogs daschund & friends [Nintendo DS]
04.Animal Crossing: Lets Go To The City [Wii]
05.Tomena sanner [WiiWare]
06.Ridge Racer [3DS]
07.Eco Creatures: Save The Forest [DS]
08.Pokemon Leaf Green Version [GBA]
09. Pokemon Blue Version [GB]
10. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Shadow Wars [Nintendo 3DS]

Been a while since my last update. I've managed to beat Eco Creatures: Save The Forest [DS] and Pokemon Leaf Green Version [GBA]. Similar to Final Fantasy II: Dawn of Souls [Game Boy Advance]; I need to complete one extra side mission before I can call it complete - but more than happy to have it on a beaten status. Likewise with Pokemon Leaf Green's main campaign to the elite four was surprisingly quick and easy, however since I am trying to get a complete pokedex it took a little longer (mind you still in progress) but beaten nonetheless. Animal Crossing has been going great. So happy with my progress on it so far. Ridge Racer [3DS] has been very addictive considering I've manage to get close to beating the main campaign. Also for a launch game, I say this and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Shadow Wars [Nintendo 3DS] as of present, are my favourite launch titles. And I guess that's why I've rarely touched Nintendogs and Pokemon Pinball due to my time put towards the other games. Hopefully I can get back to them while I decide and add my new list of games into the fray.

Here's my new list. It seems I'm not keen in adding anything more in the 3 vacant slots. I think for now, these games will keep me busy until next update. Adding Mario Kart 7 and deciding now to beat Fire Red, will keep me busy. I also thought re-adding WarioWare Inc. will give me some quick bursts of play time here and there.

Ok, I thought I might as well refresh my list by taking out 2 and adding in 2 new games with the old ones out temporarily. As I've decided to go on a Pokemon main series backlog conquest, because i need to get this shit out of my system. The aim is to beat the elite four and complete the pokedex the quickest way possible with one version of each series until I'm up to date with B2/W2. Luckily I have all the versions so no issue with finding what I need via trades etc. Lastly I thought I start on my early library of 3DS games too. Btw, anyone have Ridge Racer 3DS? because this game is quite fun and I was thinking I could do some time trialing with against anyone that was interested.
