[4/7 Stories] The ‘near future’ story is pretty weak. I have liked the other stories so far, though.

You're not kidding about Tears of the Kingdom. It's even more damning when you have just recently finished Breath of the Wild like I did.

It's no surprise, but Tears of the Kingdom is way better.

I was just checking if there was any explanation and I came across said lawsuits in the US. They happened in the mid 2010s, which is after Brain Age: Concentration Training came out.

I couldn't remember if Brain Training Switch makes any statement about its efficiency, so I went back to all the screenshots and videos I've taken.
It doesn't really say it improves any brain functions and makes it clear from the beginning that the intention of the game is to stimulate the prefrontal cortex. Though right after that it mentions a study made with the first Brain Age on DS and how it showed that people who played the game had some improvement on the executive functions and processing speed of the brain.

Occasionally, the doctor mentions studies made in the past, but he also provides the citation for each one.

I'm guessing, in hindsight, that should be enough for the game to be on the clear to get an American release, but if it doesn't I totally understand it.

At least Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain doesn't have that problem and simply presents a collection of minigames to put you to think.

Hope you enjoy Tears of the Kingdom thoroughly.

Yep, Brain Training on Switch is, for the most part, the same as the DS games, and a bit of the DSiWare games for that matter. It still has the Dr. Mario minigame, Virus Buster.

The most notable additions are the activities that use the right Joy-Con's IR Camera and the competitive 2-player mode. Oh, and the Brain Training World Championship (added via an update), an online competition ranking mode similar to the Nintendo World Championship mode in NES Remix 2 where you compete to finish exercises in the fastest time possible.
This last mode proves that the game acknowledges when its played on an American account since you can see flags of American countries in the rankings.

Unfortunately, it has almost nothing from Brain Age: Concentration Training (or Devilish Brain Training as it is called in Europe), the 3DS game. Which is a shame, I was looking forward to the Devilish Training mode, but copies of that game are nonexistent around here.

In true Brain Age nature, the game is designed to be played on Handheld and Tabletop modes. Only the Quick Play mode, which hosts the IR Camera and 2-player modes, can be played on the TV.

I got it mostly because of its import status (still wondering why it didn't come out in America), it was cheaper than the usual second-hand Switch game price and the Switch stylus was there and sealed (which I was expecting not to be there).
I would've done the same if it were Buddy Mission BOND, remember that one?
Before I got the game, I had had the digital version on the wishlist of my Japanese eShop account. Now I'm glad I was able to get it physically.

Truth be told, I've never been big on the Brain Age series, mostly because I haven't played any game outside the DSiWare ones, but I'm enjoying my time with this game.

Between this and Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain, I'm glad some IPs that originated on the DS have a chance to shine again.

"Probably my favorite game in the series, to be honest."

Really? What makes it stand out?

Haha! I must not have a fear of heights. It doesn't bother me, even if I fall.

For Ishin, it's good so far. I want to play more but I'm distracted by other games. It's built off a PS3 game so it's not as smooth as newer entries, but the story is promising so far and the graphics are pretty. I will say that spamming the gun at every enemy is both viable and, in some cases, necessary (playing on Legend difficulty). Interested to see how it evolves because there's a mountain of side content I haven't even seen yet.

Feel like I need a smaller game like Mario after I finish FE Engage, that games way longer than I was expecting

That is totally fair. Honestly, sometimes with games, it just is really nice to play something short or even medium length. Like...a 20 hour game is just so nice these days lol

Thanks! It's so nice to have them all in one place at last
You wouldn't believe me if I told you the places I found some of those booklets, star cards and boxes where hiding can't believe they look as good as they do

I've also been slowly building up my collection of games with a lot of re-buying of old classics mostly DS & 3DS recently as the eShop will be closing soon. Makes me happy I'm a physical collector through and through I would of been panicking if I’d moved over to digital at this point

The Game Boy book is fantastic! Starts off with a History of Game boy section at the front, then goes into a 1-page summary of around 340ish games some popular and some you’ve never heard of. (Included some pics with a manga size comparison below as it's very square lol) [Link] [Link] [Link]

Well RT, Pizza Tower seems to be hot. I've already seen a couple of "all basses" videos pop up.

Tell me all about it. A Switch release is inevitable.

Thank you!
Can’t believe it’s been 10 years already!

Really hope it comes out on PSVR2 as well, for the amount of hype it gets it still surpassed my expectations in every way and shows what a fully fledged VR only game can do. (Was incredible from start to finish but also not for the faint of heart, some chapters are terrifying! )

I have another free weekend so I’m going to hopefully beat Crisis Core then properly focus on Engage for the next month before Octopath II
Hey! Scroll back up!
