Hey! Sorry for the late reply as usual, aha How've you been? I'm doing pretty alright these days. Gonna start college classes again for the first time in a while somewhat soon, so hope that goes alright! Hope your uni has been going well so far!

I basically have just watched a bunch more of season 3 of BNHA in this time, and holy moly - it's fuckin good! I haven't had an anime make me feel like this in a while. Like, just physically getting out of my chair and audibly shouting "OHHHH SHIT" and getting me hyped is a feat for someone like me. I'm loving it! I still need to catch up on a bit more episodes, but I'm loving it.

Hope you get to enjoy Yakuza 0 soon also! Kiwami 2 has been great. And I still do need to continue on my Ace Attorney saga - I'm starting to get to the point where I miss it!

And yeah, I love me some idol animes. Even if they're corny and reuse the same thing over and over again, I eat it up every single time, heh. I'm still slacking on S2 of LL Sunshine, but my girlfriend said she's not emotionally ready for it (since basically every episode of Season 1 made her cry )

Anyways, just wanted to let you know I'm still around playing games, haha. Hope all is well!

The ideal job is where I get paid to create the things I want to make and be able to work at my own pace, but that's not the real world, sadly. I'm just applying for anything slightly related to my field at this point.

Those sites helped but really centralized the internet compared to the wild west it was even 10 years ago while Youtube was small...I remember in college we all gave each other answers on a private group page!

Good. Chihiro is simply indescribable and I want to make sure she is always happy even if I'm not the one playing the game.

Glad to see you're thinking about your journey into Persona and SMT! as for #FE, I heard it's mediocre on its own merit but I haven't touched it, partially since I'm not really a fan of the WiiU despite owning one.

Already revealed it! See the reveal post here: [Link]

The visit was lovely! We went to a renaissance faire and then spent some time at an Airbnb to get away from everything else for awhile. He also met the rest of my immediate family (dad, brother, and sister), so that was great. I went a little overboard with buying games at the few used game shops we went to, though. ^^; I hope that you have a good semester, and please do take care of your health! I hope it isn't anything serious when you say that.

Thank you for the support! I haven't uploaded too much lately, as I do a video every other Monday. But the most recent two are a showcase of older PC RPGs, and then just today I uploaded a collection tour video! It was a lot of fun and I look forward to doing more off-the-cuff videos in the future. As for my website, it should be linked in the description of each video or on my Twitter, but it's here. [Link] The other blog is just for keeping tabs on the games I finished each year, though part of me is tempted to blend that into my other site so that I don't have too many URLs floating around.

I may or may not also have a little bit of saltiness when a company makes a big deal out of an existing IP and something related to it, and it is just a mobile port. I do think availability is a good thing, but I would like to see older titles ported to more than just mobile. Steam, Switch, PSN, something. Although I don't know how difficult the porting process is, so maybe it requires more resources than I'm aware of. But after all this fuss with emulation sites and digital preservation lately, I'm more on edge about not letting games get lost to time or being available only to people who have an arm and a leg to sacrifice for a physical copy. I don't need to even mention Panzer Dragoon Saga, in this case. And numerous other titles, as well.

One thing I've been consistently bad with is keeping up with watching anime. I have such a ridiculous backlog of older series to work through, as well as a handful of newer ones. I suppose it helps to write about them, occasionally, as then I feel like I'm not just lounging but also doing something productive. But finding time among all the other things I'm working on is difficult! I really need a schedule or something, to better balance my time.

And using the Curse/Payback combo works pretty well (Curse raises attack and defense but reduces speed, which then benefits Payback as it's both a physical attack AND doubles in power if the user is slower than the opponent; the extra defense will make him harder to stop) if you don't come across the pokemon its weak against. works better with the leftovers item (sure, Blackglasses makes Payback even more powerful).

Well, Eevee can learn Baton Pass, so it's possible for any of its evolved forms to pass its stat boosts to someone else, and most of them can learn stat-boosting moves (Vaporeon with Acid Armor, Leafeon with Swords Dance, etc). though I don't know if Leafeon or Flareon works as a baton passer because of its lackluster special defense and defense (respectively), the option is there.

The first Yokai Watch is pretty cheap from what I've seen. as for the second game, I only played a little bit of it and stopped. (Update: I'm playing it right now and will tell you more soon.)

We're getting Yokai Watch 3 next year. [Link] they didn't reveal which version, but if it's like Yokai Watch 2, we'll get Sushi and Tempura first, and then Sukiyaki later (if we're even getting it at all). Europe unfortunately has to wait until Winter...

Though given the amount of people who would rather see companies release games on the Switch instead of the 3DS, I'm surprised that Nintendo is still footing the bill. this game will likely flop even harder in the west compared to the first two.

A top list of Goemon games? because I'm not sure what you mean otherwise.

Pokemon had the advantage that the anime premiered overseas before the games left Japan.
If bulbapedia is to believed, this isn't entirely true; some countries (like Italy, Spain, Czech Republic and Finland) got the game first like in Japan. also, there was probably some people who thought that the game is an adaptation of the anime, rather than the other way around, because of the release order.

Also, Fun Fact; South Korea got the Kanto-based Pokemon episodes, but not the games they're based off. their first game was Pokemon GS (which had to be released on a GBC-only cart instead of a standard GB cart like in other countries because it uses the GBC's extra VRAM to display the Korean text), which came out in April 2002 (yes, after the GBA was released). their second pokemon game was Pokemon D/P, because neither Crystal nor the Gen 3 games were released there (to my knowledge, they never got the GBA at all). they eventually got OR/AS (the Gen 3 remakes) so they can finally explore Hoenn in Korean, but when the time came to release the Gen 1 games on the Virtual Console, they came out in every major region except South Korea. so Gen 1 remains absent there to this day.

There's also the possibility that they can make the next Starfy game fully two-player. the third game introduced Starpy (Starly in the official translation), who is his younger sister. she can do some techniques that her brother can't, and the fifth game even allowed for two player co-op. unfortunately, she's only playable in some stages. a Starfy game that has two-player support from start to finish would be great.

Jolteon does actually outdo Raichu and Electabuzz in every stat except Attack, so you're right on that. and while Magneton has higher special attack, it's slower and has a even more limited movepool (though somewhat fixed in later games). and Electrode only outdoes it in speed. the only Gen 1 Electric-type that could give it a run for its money is Zapdos, so I might put it higher up on the list...

Espeon is even better when you consider that every Psychic-type in Gen 1 got downgraded in G/S (either with less SP-A or SP-D). with Jynx and Mew being the only exceptions.

No clue (I don't read manga; well, more like I have no easy access to manga where I live). I think it might be anime-exclusive since I couldn't find any images of it.

This parody is at least worth watching to laugh at (you didn't mention it so I assumed you overlooked it). [Link]

I'm at the point where Gale joined my party (so early on). and I don't care too much about spoilers.

different forms for pre-established pokes
All of which were Gen 1 Pokemon. none for any other Gen. other things (like being able to get one of the Gen 1 starters in XY, finding Mewtwo in the end game, some of the Signature Z-moves only only available to Kanto Pokemon, and both Charizard and Mewtwo having 2 mega forms) came off as pandering to the fans of Gen 1 and didn't sit well with them (although in SM's case, it was released on the 20th anniversary). I have noticed that the alolan forms were another reason why the Gen 1 Pokemon games were released on the VC, since it means that you can bring in the original forms of those Gen 1 Pokemon to the game. they even opened up a VC in Taiwan and Hong Kong just to sell the Pokemon games! [Link]

I DO find it disappointing that that Nintendo/GF bothered to emulate the link cable feature for the Pokemon games, when they didn't bother for any of the other GB games (GG and NES do allow for 2-player). it's also $10, instead of $3/$4 like other GB games (or in the case of GBC, $4 to $6). it's the Mother 1/2 tax all over again.

Did you know the Rockman EXE anime went on longer in Japan? there were at least 5 arcs in total, but we only got the first 2 (and even then, some episodes were skipped), likely due to lack of popularity.

Technically, it came out on the 31st, since the series started in 1987 in Japan (we got PS the following year). still, it's disappointing, since I'm not a fan of mobile games in any form.

There's 4 Goemon RPGs; the Gaiden games (Kieta Ōgon Kiseru and Tenka no Zaihō), Tengu-tō no Gyakushū!, and Ganbare Goemon: Mononoke Dōchū Tobidase Nabe-Bugyō!. the first two have recently been fan-translated (though the second one isn't out yet) if you're interested. that last one can connect to the similarly-titled N64 game (via Transfer Pak) to get monsters you otherwise couldn't get in the GB game.
