Hey, Faxanadu was released today on the US Virtual Console. I thought you might want to know that. Also, I'm sort of interested in this game: It's got some good reviews, and you seem to hold it in high regard. Do you think I should get it?

Yeah, I noticed the pattern changes in level 1 as well. I also noticed the color changes. I remember reading that people were complaining that the wavy beats were too hard to see, so they made them brighter. I also remember that damn hot pink comet in the background making it /impossible/ to see much of anything on the Wii version, and it's not a light purple color on level 1. I never beat level 2 on Wii, so I don't know, and I never made it to level 3 there, obviously. I noticed on level 1 that the Commandervideo ghosts that float around are more visible on the Steam version. I'm not sure why they did the pattern changes, but the color changes were nice IMO.
