I nearly spit water out of my mouth when I saw you had a Dragon Age banner and the first game listed in your Now Playing list was Candy Crush Saga.

I figured that Angry Birds saved after each level, or I assumed that anyway based on Angry Birds Space.

Glad you liked Genealogy! But, though it's my favorite Fire Emblem, I worked on the translation for Mystery, not Genealogy. :p

For Thracia, the patch leaves out a few chapters, but it shouldn't have any glitches. Serenes Forest [Link] has all the up to date patches, maybe you should grab that. GameFAQs has the full translation in text form, which is annoying but workable for the final few chapters.

Thracia is fairly brutal, good luck with it!

SD3 does starts off a bit slow and stays that way for a while. It really picks up when you collect all the mana spirits, which is about the halfway point. I think I might be progressing pretty quickly through it because I have too much time on my hands right now It stays about the same pace as Secret of Mana and if you liked SoM, you'll like SD3. It also has several different paths you can take in the game (based off your starting team) which ups the replay value.

Glad you liked it! It's definitely a simpler Fire Emblem experience, but, well, that's about to change with Genealogy.

On that subject, probably the two biggest points are the love system and item management. Without giving too much away, your initial female characters (seven who are "unmatched" can fall in love with any unmatched male character, and that will profoundly affect later parts of the game. The seven more or less canonical pairings are pretty easy to get and usually make sense, either because of background or because the classes match up well (ie, Aira, a swordswoman, is easy to pair with Holyn, a swordsman). It's probably best to go for the easy to get pairings the first time through.

The second big change is item management - Genealogy characters are very possessive and won't let you trade around their items, or their money. You'll have to have characters sell their items at half price to a merchant and then buy it back with another character at the full price. Additionally, weapons are very scarce (there's only one Silver Lance, for example), but you can repair them, so who gets what is a pretty big deal. It's more like a traditional RPG (with very greedy characters) than a Fire Emblem game in that respect.

Couple quick final notes: you will discover very quickly that the maps are HUGE. That means your mounted units are pretty damn useful because they can actually cover ground...but they're generally weaker than your ground units to make up for that (Sigurd being the exception, he's ridiculous). You can promote freely at level 20 and characters only go up to level 30. There's a place on the status screen that lets you know what characters can talk to each other...take advantage of it, because you usually get love points or even new (good!) weapons.

Sorry for rambling, but Genealogy is my personal favorite game and it tends to do that to me.

I was doing okay until this dog frisbee and I can't get the the last 3 stamps on there. Coupled with the fact I'm just terrible in general at throwing frisbees, it's just not going to happen

I did dark side first, going through light side now. Just like you, I'm shooting for 100% completion.

I've actually had it for some time. My first playthrough was years and years ago, hardly remember any of it, and I'm not even sure I finished it. >_>
The Steam deal is neat though, because it's made so many more people play it, so now, just in time, I have people to talk about it with again.
