Sounds like you've picked a couple good ones to concentrate on. I used to always have a soft spot for multiplayer games, and DOOM looks like a fun time (the old school PC gamer in me is always tempted). After college (many years ago) I started mainly playing single player games. I needed games that worked around my work schedule that I could come back to anytime if I was away from it for weeks on end. Multiplayer games had a tendency to suck me in and not let me go, and it's also hard to stay competitive if you don't keep up (my schedule sucks sometimes). Last multiplayer game I allowed myself to get into was Splatoon. It is really easy to get short bursts of uninvolved non stressful gameplay out of that game, so I never went overboard.

Doing well TI. Making progress on the backlog, playing good games, and trying not to put myself back into a giant hole again. Work schedule still stinks, but that's what I get for choosing my career. Vacation is coming, so I get a little out of town stress relief in New England

If you've noticed, I NIL games I consider part of my "collection"... basically I own them for my nieces or I'm not sure I really ever want to play them (or play them again if they are repeat purchases). Black Friday is coming up, and I know I'm going to buy a bunch of games at least for my collection (maybe a few for the backlog).

I promised myself I wouldn't grab a copy of Fallout 4 until at least 2 patches sometime in 2016 (let them iron out the bugs first), but man is it hard to wait for that one. I finally beat New Vegas this past summer, and those games just really suck me in. I think it would be wise for me to avoid buying F4 time-wise right now (I pretty much have my 2015 game plans together). I saw people were whining about the normal stuff (graphics/glitches). I usually ignore the message board hate and whining. Message board warriors have too much time on their hands.
