Well, it was on the 3DS version, but I used Greninja. His bouncy Down-Air is a lifesaver against Master Core if you know when to use it and when not to.

Leave it to Magic: The Gathering to sap away all my time from gaming and anime; I'm already getting to the point where new games I bought recently just aren't being started, let alone played to a good amount. I think it's time to take a break from that, as fun as it is, and focus on some other priorities (like, oh, I don't know, finishing Shantae and starting Fire Emblem: Awakening).

I'm not a master at the game, but your party needs to be balanced. The best way to absorb damage when you can't survive is a Fortress that can Taunt the hits towards them and then defend to halve all the damage. Make sure that as soon as you feel you're ready to take on a FOE, that you do, because the items they drop make for unique and useful armor and such. But really, it's trial and error to figure out what exactly works best for you as an individual. As long as you win battles, who cares how efficiently you can do it? I hope you have fun.
